4 WAR this year. Still a solid defender excellent base runner.

Seems like a totally totally reasonable contract to me, especially if you are the yankess and you have an insane payroll.

I would totally throw Colby Rasmus off the side off the CN Tower for the opportunity to pay Jacoby 153 million.

I do get why the red soxs said no, with Jackie Bradley Jr coming up.

Not to mention part of his struggle is because The Captain is holding the lineup hostage because Joe Girardi refuses to put him 7th or 8th where he belongs and meant Jacoby has been batting 3rd, all but 11 games since May 11th. :smh:

He's in the mix...but bottom 10...much closer to 10...Trout, Ellsbury, Gardner, Stanton, Gordon, Upton, Heyward, Pence, Cutch, Jones, Brantley, Gomez, Bautista, Puig, Marte...they're all in the mix.

Think I prefer Ells to Gardy, Pence, Brantley, and Marte.

Braun, CarGo, Harp. Fringe contenders are Cespedes, Matty Kemp, Billy Hamilton, Bruce.

Definitely not Top 5.

I would say probably somewhere 8-12. Gardner probably somewhere 13-15.

After the 2014 season, I'd like all the MLB regulars to rank their top-20 outfielders.

Updated: Stanton up to 6th, Ellsbury up to 7th, Upton down to 8th
1. Mike Trout
2. Andrew McCutchen
3. Adam Jones
4. Carlos Gomez
5. Jose Bautista
6. Giancarlo Stanton
7. Jacoby Ellsbury
8. Justin Upton
9. Yasiel Puig
10. Hunter Pence
11. Yoenis Cespedes
12. Melky Cabrera
13. Carlos Gonzalez
14. Bryce Harper
15. Brett Gardner
16. Jason Heyward
17. Michael Brantley
18. Starling Marte
19. Alex Gordon
20. Matt Holiday
21. Ryan Braun
22. Billy Hamilton

Not extremely scientific, or in-depth to come up with it, but just my eyeball test on it.

^ You left off CarGo.

Whoops. Knew I'd be forgetting a name or 2.

I say he takes a hit for this year, I get he's injured, but those numbers are ehhhhh, and knee surgery will likely negatively impact him in the field and on the bases. Would have been Tied with Ellsbury after 2013. But now probably behind Melky in front of Harper.

It was a good game from as Astros' fan stand point. CJ Wilson got crushed lol

And Altuve had another 4 hit game. If he wasn't on the Astros, he'd be getting a lot more love. He's having an unreal season.

Good stuff. Catching the Stros at Citi late-September to end the season.
