obviously I have no stats to back it up (or believe it) but Bumgarner has been lights out since he was about to deliver the fade to Puig

saw someone say Bumgarner was the best pitcher in the World Series all time, any of you old heads, particularly CP and Ska that saw Koufax pitch, would you agree or disagree?

I barely remember Nolan Ryan pitching, how the **** I'ma know anything about Koufax.

Time for OP to update the title
#slacker

on another note, Giants are winning it tonight.
Madbum for MVP

and it doesnt make sense to me why so many of the Royals batters are taking the first pitch. Do what youve been doing the entire season guys. :smh:

^Its crazy to me to see all the pub that this guy is getting these days.  Its as if people have been ignoring him for the last few years.

47 innings... and 6 hits?!

I mean...

Just glanced by this:

Madison Bumgarner's 2014 Postseason
Game Opp. IP H ER HR BB SO ERA
NL WC PIT 9.0 4 0 0 1 10 0.00
NLDS G3 WAS 7.0 6 2 0 1 6 2.57
NLCS G1 STL 7.2 4 0 0 1 7 0.00
NLCS G5 STL 8.0 5 3 2 2 5 1.72
WS G1 KCR 7.0 3 1 1 1 5 1.29
WS G5 KCR 9.0 4 0 0 0 8 0.56
Total 47.2 26 6 3 6 41 1.14
ESPN.com

Which is exactly why I never post charts all mixed up like that. "Let's see, this is in the... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5th column... and the 5th row is for..."

**** that.

26 hits is more pedestrian.

I'm just messing with y'all. I always rank Sandy as the greatest ever from a numbers standpoint. If dude's body didn't let him down, my gosh.

I always think about things like this.  Like, how different would it have been if certain players had the luxury of all the modern medicine and treatments during their playing career.

Like, could you imagine Mickey Mantle with today's medical advancements?  Granted, he would have had to buy in and take care of himself, but still.

Just interesting to think about.

Just thinking about that, remembering the movie 61, i just realized Manziel is Mantle. Mantle is Manziel

Edit: imagine if Mark Prior could have stayed healthy

The two names that pop up for me, always, when talking about "I wish today's technology could have prolonged the career of _____", it's Griffey and Bo.

And I know Griff had himself a nice little career, but I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking he could have went down as the undisputed GOAT w/ multiple rings.

And Bo... I just wanted to see him crush bombs forever and ever, climbing up walls and what not.

I dont know about this sir.  Bo, sure.  But Griffey DID play during the era of modern medicine and technology.  I know that medicine has had many advancements in the last decade, but I dont think that Griffey would have benefitted that much.  It's not like he was playing baseball in the 70s.

Kid would've benefited from illegal substances

Wait, we don't want to go there...do we??

I hope this goes 7, c'mon KC

Griffey was on "medicine" and that is why he broke down so fast and his hamstrings would pop like no other

Word to Hunter Pence pulling a hamstring a string jogging down to first base in the minors after a walk

Whatever Kobe did in Germany, go back to like 98 and do that to Griff, then repeat every December.
