Has Brett Hayes ever thrown out any base stealers? He's got a pause at the back end of his windup when runners are going that basically guarantees that someone like Rajai Davis will be safe.

don't know if any of you remember him but an old catcher for the Mets named Mackey Sasser was the worst at one point. dude developed some tick where he couldn't even throw back to the pitcher before tapping the ball in his glove. dudes were walking to 2nd on him, ruined his career ...

surprised there's a gif of him :wow:

I remember the name, but I think I heard it from when Chuck Knoublach started going through his own yips.

I don't know who is calling this Cleveland/Detroit game on FS1, but they're clueless. After throwing up a stat about intentional walks for Miggy, they start questioning the home fans cheering that he was up to bat and the dude is like, "I don't know why they're cheering, they're not gonna pitch to him." Well, the pitcher threw a curve just off the plate and the guy back tracks with "well, they won't give him anything to hit." Two pitches later he gets a hittable pitch, but flies out. So dumb.

  I'd usually wonder the same thing, but it's happened to me. It's ridiculous and embarrassing.

I pitch in slowpitch softball and went through a 3 week phase where I couldn't throw strikes cause I developed some weird hitch in my motion.

It was just like a mental block, but it's real

Edit: ironically never got the yips pitching baseball, but of course it happens in softball

Same can be said for Erasmo. He gets shelled every single time. Every time.
