ideal situation would be the jays continue floundering, eat some of his contract and send him to us for flores and montero.

i so rather have 100 games from reyes than 160 from flores.

Yeah, that'd be great if it happens. His contract is the problem why Alderson doesn't bother to bring him back. I believe Reyes would put up better numbers as a Met.

Collins hinted that Familia will be still our closer if Parnell or Mejia come back. Very happy to hear about it. We have found our next 10 years fantastic closer in Famillia. Famillia credited to Jose Valverde and Bartolo Colon for making him a better pitcher.

Don't see how Reyes puts up better numbers playing his majority of games at Citi Field over Rogers but I'd like to see him back with the Mets too.

Not like the Blue Jays are going anywhere, though I really like Travis/Donaldson.

Citi Field was actually designed for Reyes with the way the gaps were set up initially. Idk if he'd perform better or not, doesn't really matter to me. He's still producing at a good level that's better than your league average SS.

So you're saying it was part of the Mets plan?

ownership is so petty and dumb. they put the gaps in, particularly right field, for him to be a triples machine. then the wilpons get butt hurt and get rid of the guy.

In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, Angels set Guinness World Record for largest gathering of people wearing sombreros.

Man, I was going to say that it's highly unlikely Altuve gets 3,000 but after looking at some of his batted ball data in comparison to Ichiro I think he could have a legitimate shot. Very similar contact %, LD%, K%, and BB/K.

The things that Ichiro had going for him though, was that he hit a ton of groundballs and sent a lot more pitches to the opposite field. Altuve is still young so he's got time to adjust/add these things to his approach at the dish. The only real concern in my eyes would be his long term durability.
