Playing at Marlins park and playing against 3 of the lightest hitting team certainly helps.

Alderson turns to Cespedes who will probably be more expensive than Jay Bruce and Carlos Gomez? This is getting comical. That's all I can say.

Cespedes at least is better than Bruce.

Should've never let Gomez go though.

the Mets are just playing games with everyone. I honestly believe they're trying to lowball and hoping some team comes running to them at the end.

Or worse they're pretending to try to sell the fans on their effort instead of the results.

I wouldn't put it pass them. Team ownership is a joke.

Hypothetical question. If you were a GM for a team, lets say the Mets and you look into a crystal ball and you are guarantee to win the world series this year, but you have to give up all of your top prospects and 2 of the 3 (Matz, Harvey, Syndergaard) in the majors. Would you guys bite? Keep in mind, you would still have a good team afterwards still probably, but have bloated contracts like a Hamels, Shields, Tulowitzki etc.. making 20+ mill towards the wrong side of 30.

So basically, become the Phillies? Nope.

Rather be the A's and have fire sales every 3 years.

Ahaha. Essentially. But this is a guarantee. Ruben didn't have a guarantee and was still giving those fat contracts out.

Haren is better than what we had goin for that 5th starter spot and we gave up no one of real value. Minor move. Theres still a chance we strike a deal with the Padres, but i doubt it.

Isn't Ces a free agent after this season? So he doesn't cost more. Either way, Mets need to get Ces bad as ****. That's the best move.

I wondered what Clemente got after 1960 when he did reach his potential

I don't see how Cespedes doesn't go to the Mets.

Trade offers on the table for one of Kimbrel or Chapman I'm guessing

I think its because he didn't have the flashy numbers like Mantle, Aaron or Mays. People paid to see those hitters hit the long ball.

The #Tigers real close to moving Cespedes. The #whitesox involved but not the favorite

The #Whitesox were aggressive, but fell short, and now out of #Tigers Cespedes sweepstakes

One rival executive believes that Cespedes is going to the #Mets

Hoping Cespedes gets dealt. Would love to have him as a Tiger again next season going forward.

Saw that, but Drellich is a tool for any relevant info. Astros have pretty much shut him out

McGee or Chapman would be awesome for us. Would love to add a left-handed RP. Sipp is our only one and he's having a down year
