We better have a good inning here and put up a fight. Last inning was pathetic.
Terrible game. Had plenty of chances. Tejada double clutches a routine ground ball that allowed the go ahead run to score. Darnaud strikes out three times looking clueless. Wasted that first inning. Better regroup and take tomorrow.

Vintage Stras tonight. Ever since that first DL trip he took he's looked great. Hope he can stay healthy.

Idk why, but this cracked me up. BTW, you watching the O's game? Gary Thorne just had a pretty bad slip up mean.gif

Mark Zuckerman @ZuckermanCSN
Strasburg's last 4 starts: 3-0, 1.19 ERA, 30 K, 4 BB.

Hope he keeps it up, would be a big boost with Fister being **** this year.

He just gotta stay healthy, he was already rounding into form before his last trip to the DL.

He supposed to be out here being a young ace with Archer/Sale/DeGrom/MadBum/Cole/Jose.

Nats have had the worst injury luck this year.

Strangely enough, we played better without Rendon, Werth, and Zimmerman. Span is the key player we're missing. 35-24 with him, 7 games under .500 without him. Doubtful he's coming back this season.

Span hitting before Bryce was too easy early in the season.

As great of a year he's had, he's still not doing better than Trout laugh.gif

If the Jays win the division or make the playoffs, he's got to be it. Although, I wouldn't argue against Mike Trout (assuming the Angels do the same).
Seems like the Mets have started a new trend of jumping out to early leads
post #44755 of 77526
hopefully we hold onto this one

Nelson Cruz is having arguably the best season and I haven't seen one person list him for MVP

probably because he's 15th in WAR and his team is basically eliminated from the playoffs.

Trout, Donaldson, Machado and even Cain are having better all around seasons. Cruz is a great slugger but at the end of the day, the two most complete players are Trout and Donaldson and the former is winning yet another MVP.
Trout is going to Lebron himself into losing MVPs laugh.gif
post #44760 of 77526
Great play by Logan Forsythe to steal a base hit from Daniel Murphy.
