Shark Week :pimp:

Came up clutch for me in fantasy today. He's been inconsistent this season, but pitching well as of late, and when he's on he's really good.

Jays or 'Stros should look at him.

I don't know if I agree with this, but the buzz seems to indicate it will take less to get Shark than any other big name pitcher.

I know the Sox don't have much leverage, but they can't settle for a bag of balls. They need as much talent as possible.

Watch my Mets trade Niese to the Astros for Jed Lowrie. Only trade I can see them doing. Or maybe Niese for Alex Guerrero.

Valbuena is going to get moved before Lowrie IMO.

If they're dead set on giving Gattis, Carter, and Singleton at-bats, it just makes sense to move Valbuena to give you one less low contact guy.

that does make sense. figured lowrie just cause the salaries and needs are in line, minus a couple of mill. but yeah, definitely need a guy that doesn't k 30% of the time in that lineup.

I'm really bothered by the fact its so obvious we need at least 1 starting pitcher, if not 2, and we haven't made a move yet.

Keuchel and McCullers have been the only pitchers who have been decent all year.

Everyone else who has been given a chance to start has just been so up and down.

The division is really weak this year. I would hate for Luhnow to sit on his hands and let this opp slip by, but at the same time you can't mortgage the future.

The only way the Mets would make a trade is a prospect-for-prospect gamble. Young starter for a young bat. That way contracts aren't a real issue, because we know how frugal they are with their spending.

they won't do anything. they just want to paint the impression that they care about winning.

Agreed, I don't think they'll make any moves.

You would think with this staff they would be poised to try and actually win. It's comical how they are ran.

Don't feel like digging for the fantasy thread, but is anyone else's Yahoo page white and not the black background like normal?

I was gonna post that but just forgot

The part about Scherzer's deal being worth $185 in present day value was really interesting.

Basically makes my Bobby Bonilla point for me
Not necessarily, Mets paid 8% inflation. No inflation for the Nats.
