I lik the Astros deal because we get Gomez for this year and next. Have a strong feeling we will re-sign Kazmir. So it will help the next year or two and going for it this year.

There GM has done a hell of a job, they've also been good at getting the best out of their farm/young guys.

That's the key to success. Prospects panning out early on when contractual money isn't an issue (yet); allowing money to be spent elsewhere.

Mets now looking into Cespedes. Apparently losing steam on Bruce. Don't understand that when the rumor was Wheeler/Jay straight up

Well they had 3 first round picks in a row. Not taking away anything from the Astros, but when the Astros got Jeff Luhnow (hackgate), it also coincided with the Astros turn around.

Playing at Marlins park and playing against 3 of the lightest hitting team certainly helps.

Alderson turns to Cespedes who will probably be more expensive than Jay Bruce and Carlos Gomez? This is getting comical. That's all I can say.
