I'm assuming just because it's the opening of a new stadium because I remember in 2008 when the Nats opened up our new park we had a one game series with the Braves.

Its getting ridiculous. Cain got way overpaid he's not even a career .500 pitcher good stuff but not proven.

Cain isn't proven? laugh.gif Did you forget the WS run? He got paid because he deserved it. He's had at least 30 starts every year (other than his first) so he's durable. He can go up against any pitcher in this game and his record would be much better if he played on a team with a better offense. Honestly, Cain hasn't got the respect he deserves throughout his career so I'm happy for him. You can say he got a bit overpaid but I'm sure there were other teams that would give him $20 mil a year.

Cain is a solid pitcher, has had a string of bad luck with a lack of run support, but he isn't a 120+ mil pitcher in my book.

The Miami Marlins and World Series champion St Louis Cardinals are about to kick of the 2012 season...while the Royals and Padres are still playing a spring training

30t6p3b.gif @ MLB for starting the season in Japan w/ no one able to see it, and having this game going on while a ST game is going on. SMH at this, I wish Opening Day was special. smiley: frown

All of this. Ali looking bad. My A's have to play in Japan then come home to play more preseason games against the giants. Two years in a row defending champs have to open on the road (Giants in LA last year) Regular season games going on while preseason games going on. Bud Selig is horrible.
