Eck needs a drink

Looks like this might be the first season under Billy where have more than 90 losses :frown:

Feels batman

I always wondered why people make innings pitched a big deal in regards to injury. You could throw 100 innings and throw only 300 pitches (theoretically of course )

Mets aren't gonna resign him anyway, so **** boras and make him pitch

From Harvey's perspective, he's trying to be set for life, **** the mets getting into the playoffs.

But if I'm the mets I just make him pitch, let's see how this turns out

He wants to obey this arbitrary innings limit which doesn't guarantee anything? Ok, fine, put this punk in the bullpen or shut him down. I rather roll with Colon and Niese than this prick. I hope we trade him in the offseason. He doesn't belong in NY.

Those Giants are going to get swept by Colorado

I dont think sometimes.
Of course Carlos and Nolan weren't sweeping these Giants. Last place and it's the weekend.

Young cats are out beating booties up after that show they put on this week, why not.

I can understand Harvey's train of thought but his approach is what's gonna kill him. A part of him might regret it in the long run but I can't say he's wrong....for some the goal is to win. For others you want to maximize your earning potential.

You say all year you want to pitch in the playoffs, ready for post season games, the big stage, and this is what you bring to the table first week into September?

I still see him pitching in meaningful games if it gets to that point, but it really should not have come down to this. Mets approached this with caution since last year, if innings was going to be an issue, they would've just started Harvey's season in May.

This distraction is not what the Mets need right now. Too much going right. :smh:

I get the perspective from both sides, but man...Harvey's next time on the bump at Citi will be....interesting.

I've been enjoying the Mets current run and I wouldn't call myself a baseball fan in the slightest. It really might be all downhill from here with the Harvey drama and Cespedes most likely not being retained.

With the way the Nats are playing the Mets better hope this Harvey drama doesn't get out of hand
