It's so hard to say what Arenado is at this point. Machado is such an amazing overall player, I can't really definitively say who's behind Donaldson.

They really need to chill with this MVP talk for Cespedes. I get it, he's been great since coming over...so Harper's historic season just goes by the wayside? we just toss it out because of a month and a half hot streak?

I'd like to personally say **** you to Washington and Matt Williams for making this happen.

I'd have no problem with Harper getting it, but honestly, Cespedes is singlehandedly lifting the Mets into contention.

Arrenado catches a break from Coors Field, but not as much this year, as he did last year. So that's interesting to say the least. Last year he only homered twice on the road, this year, it's more balanced.

And he has 34 HR's against RHP's this year. I'm sure it'll balance out between what he did last year and what he did this year. But he's a stud player regardless. Probably the best defensive third baseman as well.

If Harper doesn't win it, it's worse than Trout not winning in '12 or '13. He's been single-handedly carrying that offense and yo-yo pitching staff/bullpen all season. He's got a .321 ISO, a .467 OBP, a .657 SLG, a .467 wOBA & a 201 wRC+. Donaldson is running away with the AL race and Harper is obliterating his numbers.

Manny has also been batting leadoff for the majority of the season.

I know it's against Buck's philosophy, but he needs to explore getting some legit speed at the top of the order. I'd re-sign Parra and davis, and move Manny's bat to 3rd in the lineup.

Bottom line, the O's have to spend $$$$ this offseason. This was a down year, but it won't take all that much to get them back in contention to come out of the AL East.

Harper's numbers have been great and he deserves the MVP, but man, I can't sit here and not say Cespedes hasn't been the most valuable player since July 31st. Harper goes 0-8 in the first two games of the biggest series of the season, and Cespedes counters that with some big hits. Last night, he takes the lead again. I have no problem with Harper winning, cause without him, Nats are a third place team, however, Cespedes is doing everything possible to show how valuable he is.

If we're looking at it strictly from a team standpoint, since July 31st Mets are 25-11 and the Nats are 17-21. It's impressive how much his arrival has transformed this team.

Where did all this Cespedes nonsense come from?

Dude played half of the year in another league
I've been trolling Nats fans on Twitter for the past 25 minutes and wow, they really are the dumbest group of fans I've ever interacted with. MadJ and Mr. Marcus must be the only Nats fans alive who make sense.

Those two are good people...but man, I'm loving every bit of this collapse.

Of course, you're one of the few O's fans who stayed loyal!

I have a feeling this is going to be a blood bath in NY this weekend.

 man, tell me about it.

Serves this team and fanbase right for talking WS before the season started.

Bryce calls out the fans and then goes 0-8 with 4ks in the 2 most important games of the season

-Edit-

That was going into yesterdays game. Still a clown statement, bro.

MVP talk for Cespedes is like saying Sabathia deserved it with the Brewers or Manny with the Dodgers :rolleyes .

.
Don't think he should win, especially since its not even a full half season he is going to be playing with for the Mets or National League for that matter.  Also the voters LOVE to take into consideration for 2nd half finishes, when first half is also as important. Teams wouldn't even be in playoff contention if said player wasn't hot the first half and tailed off the second half as oppose to being cold in the first half then having a hot finish.

OMG ITS HAPPENING FELLAS WOW THOUGHT I NEVER SEE THE DAY !

SOMEONE BLESS ME WITH THE BEST .GIF POSSIBLE PLEASE

The NL has such a deep crop for 2nd place. Votto, Goldy, Posey, Cutch, Pollock, Bryant, Rizzo, Cespedes are all having outstanding seasons.
