Ian Desmond is a weapon in CF.
He's having one hell of a year and gets better in center every time out... Would not be upset to see him kept around on multi-year deal.

Damn tough to steal an extra base off him, Mazara and Choo in the OF...

Rangers... :pimp:

Without Yu... Without any production whatsoever from 1B and DH...

On pace for 100+ wins. Great stuff.

What did he do with Ichiro?

Dismissed Ichiro surpassing his hitting record because it combines his hits from Japan + MLB. Might be overblown, but just from what he said and his history of saying stupid stuff, it seemed douchey.

I would have bet a good sum that Myers would homer off of Max tonight but, first damn at bat, woah!

Jon Jay will take him deep too.(or someone)

astros barely scrapping by the reds, mets might be swept by the braves. baseball

Can't even be mad at Rivero. Dude's been overworked.
If by overworked you mean he sucks, then I agree.

I think he's been used 5 times the past two weeks. He needs to be in Syracuse figuring out how to throw ******* strikes. Chance to go 7 up on the Mets and he ******* throws it down the toilet. Kind of upset I stayed up to watch this dumpster fire.

its unreal in this day and age how relievers can't handle pitching in 3 consecutive days or 3 in 4 days. i feel like this season, more than any, has resulted in so many bullpen implosions. is pitching talent watered down now or what?

Cuz they shouldn't count
Give him props for his MLB hits but ***** even considering counting his hits in Japan

Am I the only one that notices this kind of thing, let me give you a scenario.....tonight for instance.

We have Max out there throwing flames and pitching a damn good game.

ON the other mound we have Colin Rea who is a bum.

Whenever a stud is facing a bum, it's like the offense relaxes and chills on the run support.

Like how does Max not come away with a win against Rea?

W goes to the pen? Travesty man... Rea pitched pretty good, and he couldn't get the win either because Nats are just that much better, when they want to be

They played Max, though, Max should be super salty

Ah I'm with him on that. Asinine to think Ichiro is 'the hit King' and stupid of MLB to acknowledge and give credibility to other leagues. And I'm not a big Rose fan at all

a-friend a-friend
That always happens with the Dodgers and kershaw
The offense takes a night off and forces kershaw to only allow 1 run
Imagine kershaw with a great offense :smh:

Max was in line for the win. We were up 3-1 in the 8th and Rivero **** his pants.

I know, that's my point.

It's like Nats offense was going 1/2 speed or brought their C game(

) instead of A game, because of Max vs Rea and having a lead after 5, 6 or 7 innings.

It just seems like I see this more with studs than I do bums, if someone like Kershaw, Arrieta, Max, Thor etc are pitching, the offense always stall at like 1 or 2 runs

.....but if Nats would have had their worst guy on the mound to start, they would have lit Rea up for 10 runs providing more than enough cushion.

I don't know maybe I'm tripping, but anytime I see a 8+ run score now I always look and see if a stud Pitcher was on the opposite mound, and it's never the case, offense never gives those guys 8+ run,. even against someone like Rea.
