Umpires trying to put there imprint on games :smh: he should have a perfect game and Pierzynski shouldn't have been tossed.

if felix doesn't win its a scam

Scherzer is gonna win cause of his win and loss record, whether that is right or wrong lol

Kershaw will win cause he is the incumbent, whether that is right or wrong lol

I think with the Felix win a few years back, they're realizing W/L is irrelevant but if he goes say 22/23-1 it'll be hard to beat.

If Kershaw keeps it up, he might get MVP too.

Agree with both statements 100 percent.

Just give co cy youngs to a bunch of people like when Manning and McNair shared the NFL MVP lol

Love what Scherzer has been doing but Felix deserves the Cy Young.  He's posting career numbers across the board--2.28/2.50/2.63 ERA/FIP/xFIP 9.22 K/9 1.71 BB/9--and it's not as if he's got an ugly W-L record.

Should've been the incumbent, they gave the award to RA Dickey though despite Kershaw being better in every category except wins.

Should be Hernandez, but if Sherzer reaches the magic number, aka 20 wins, they will give him the award.

Poor word choice on my part lol I just meant he's been around longer than Harvey.

If Scherzer ends the season with 1 loss how does he not win!?!. 14-0 at the ASB yes he plays for the Tigers who score more runs but he's on the contending team and he's been flat out nasty.

You just answered you're own question. It's why people say W/L record shouldn't be a factor because it isn't up to the pitcher if the team wins or loses.

Sherzer gets 6.17 average run support per game, tops in MLB. Chris Sale gets the worst at 2.57, Kershaw is at 3.32.

Interesting stat, Kershaw is 49-0 in his career when he gets 4+ runs, think about that. :wow:

Scherzer is having a great year though and I'd find it hard to see him lose if he really does finish the year with only 1 loss.

where can i find that last stat? i would like to see what felix's record is when he get _ amount of runs

Can Yankees fans stop being so lame? Whether you cheer or boo A-Rod, pick one and stick to it.

What have you done for me lately... He's 1-3 and he's grounded into 2 inning ending double plays I'm anything but shocked by the cheers and boos

Felix deserves it, Scherzer will win the award.

Kershaw for NL. Although I'd like to see Wainwright surprise and win the Cy Young this year.
