I agree. Just move along to game 2 at ths point. Boston's bats jumped all over Wainwright. What they do now is have Lester's glove inspected before he pitches in his second game this series.

we'll see if the league does anything or if that's inconclusive evidence. without knowing what that spot on his glove is....can't come out and cry about him cheating though.

in regard to lester, i would hope he didn't cheat. and i would hope he's not dumb enough to actually cheat using a neon green substance that is in plain view. it's way too obvious and he cannot be that dumb. interested to find out if the league presses him for what's on that glove. vaseline doesn't make sense and pine tar wouldn't be that color. so i wonder what it is.

Inconclusive evidence, certainly nothing as obvious as Kenny Rogers circa 2006, but enough to make you wonder. It's probably worth noting that Lester's counterpart, Adam Wainwright, didn't exactly deny doctoring the ball during an interview last summer. Lots of guys do it.

baseball is generally permissive towards doctoring the ball, remember, Tony LaRussa didn't even accuse Kenny, he just hit with the "hey bruh..uh, its the world series cmon son, wipe your hand and lets keep it moving."

Im pretty sure they asked LaRussa after the game what it was about and he was like, im not talking about it, I told i saw something that I wanted stopped and he stopped it.

To most baseball players doctoring the ball is like half a step above stealing signs.



Kenny Rogers fyi a guy with low strikeout numbers, but also pretty high walks, who always managed to out perform his KK/BB numbers and induce weak contact consistently....hmnmmmmmmm???


Kenny Rogers been a gambler all his life, and you can't beat the house without cheating.
