We were about to move on without him...Storen choked. Gio choked. Strasburg pitching in a game wouldn't have stopped that. If you aren't a Nats fan you don't understand and you can shut up.

@ the Cardinals comeback.

Props to them.

but if you're saying that strasburg wouldn't have made a difference then you are lying to yourself. Him pitching means less innings and stress for the rest of the pitchers, edwin jackson came in to pitch on one days rest. Haven't seen a team with more heart than these cards.

Let's go Red Birds.... That is the heart of a Champion, people picked the Braves over the Cards, then they picked the Nats to win. Now it's time to prove to everyone that we are for real and beat the Giants and move on to the WS again... Let's defend that title.

Edwin Jackson came in to pitch because Davey Johnson is an idiot. Ryan Mattheus should've been in the game and he would've pitched much better. Clearly you didn't watch Strasburg down the stretch because he pitched like ****. He looked tired and wasn't in the game mentally, so honestly I don't know if he would have made a difference. He wasn't even our best pitcher during the regular season, Jordan Zimmermann was and he got rocked by the Cards in his only start. Everything I'm typing now doesn't matter thought anyway. We blew it. Hopefully the Giants sweep the Cardinals and I don't have to here Pete Kozma or Daniel Descalso's names ever again.

i was rooting for the Nats b/c i wanted a team that hasn't recently won a World Series to win one.

Looks like i'll be rooting for the Tigers to win a World Series this year they haven't won 1 since 1984.

Tigers 1984
Yankees 2009
Cardinals 2011, 2006
Giants 2010

:wow:

Can't believe the Nats lost. Really can't believe it. Fans were feeling themselves after being up 6-0. I fell asleep when they were up 6-3 going into the 7th (I think).

*Cue up the Strasburg talk.

Game was over once they cut the lead 6-3, I kept tweeting they would finish the job.

Don't know how people can pick against the Cards come playoff time, their experience is invaluable.

My STL Cardinals man................What a team.............WHAT..............A.............TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had to come back for this:smokin:smokin:smokin

Dislike the 2-3 format, but can't deny that so far this is the most exciting post season of my lifetime.

:pimp:

Game 1 tonight - Fister v Pettitte

what a comeback by the STL. i mean daaaamb. 2 true ace came out and play for game 5's (CC and Verlander). first time for an NL team to come back from 0-2 deficit (SFG).
Dislike the 2-3 format
I don't like it for exactly what happened to Cincinnati. You have home field advantage, but you start out on the road and by the time you come home, the home team has won both games, so you have your back against the wall?

What are you talking about? Cincinnati didn't have their backs up against the wall. They went up 2-0 on the road, and had 3 games at home where they only had to win 1. If you can't win one of 3 games at home after going up 2-0 on the road then you deserve to win.

I was about to ask him what series he watched.

Didn't happen to Cincy but it did happen to Oakland.

Idk that it would've mattered for them anyway, Verlander is too beast.

Have to say I agree. If you're going against Verlander you have to make sure you win the other three games he's not pitching. The Tigers are definitely the type of team you want to avoid in the Division Series.
