Comments like this really rustle my jimmies.
If this attitude was consistent through baseball, half of the record books would be empty.
In an environment where PED useable was so common, I think it's pretty unfair to just write a player off. PED's obviously give you a greater chance to be a better player, but it doesn't turn everyone into a superstar. The initial talent still has to be there.
Steroid testing in baseball didn't begin till 2004, so anything done before that shouldn't be deemed as "cheating".
yea cause everybody on PED put up his numbersNot saying to take away his records. I just can't say "he was on a whole 'nother level of greatness" when we all know why he was on his own level of greatness.Comments like this really rustle my jimmies.

Bonds is on a whole different level of greatness lol
I was talking about right handed hitters only though.
Although Bonds was great, can't give him that with the assistance he had.
Wish Griffey Jr, would've had some of that healing juice, 'cause injuries robbed him of his greatness. Still a HOF'er no doubt, but he could've been GOAT.
Miss porter being on the Nats staff
Popularity, bleh. All teams in Cali should be looking up to the Giants.

If you're talking about the Giants being the WS champs then I hope you meant the whole country.
Still baffles me as to why we let him go. We should've given him a deal where he'd be given the job right after Davey retires.I think Porter could possibly head back to DC after this year when Johnson retires. Managing the Astros can't be fun, he looks miserable in the dugout all the time lol
