If it makes Giants fans feel any better, Frenchy typically performs in his initial stint with a ball club.
In his first season with a team (ATL/NYM/TEX/KC), he has hit .297/.334/.498 with 48 home runs and 184 RBI in 1296 plate appearances. Over a full season (650 PA), it's an average of 179 hits, 44 doubles, 23 home runs, 92RBI, and 3.4 fWAR.

In all SUBSEQUENT seasons, he has hit .252/.298/.394, with 94 HR and 430 RBI in 3602 plate appearances. Over a full season, it's an average of 152 hits, 29 doubles, 17 home runs, 78 RBI, and 0.018 fWAR. And this is mostly fueled by a strong 2006-07; you're otherwise looking at .236/.286/.362.
Point being, don't give him any money.

Somewhat related, Sandoval needs to really start taking his weight/health seriously if he wants to prolong his career.

That fat **** was never the great power hitter that Giants fans tried to convince themselves of. Now he's let himself go even further than what he was already sitting at and the Giants are stuck with him for another two years.

Darvish to the DL

Darvish was placed on the 15-day DL on Wednesday due to fatigue of the trapezius muscle, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Spin: Darvish was roughed up for a season-high five runs in his last start against the Astros and had failed to deliver quality starts in three of his last four turns, so it's certainly possible that soreness in his upper back may have negatively impacted his performance. Manager Ron Washington said he expects to have Darvish back from the DL when eligible July 22, so it doesn't seem like his owners will need to worry about his absence for too long.

I can only speak for myself, but I never claimed he was a great power hitter.  But I did claim that he was a great overall hitter.  Pablo hit .330 one year, .315 another.  You dont do that without being a damn good hitter.  I always saw Pablo as a 20-25 homerun guy.  That, to me, is NOT a great power hitter.

Man, that makes me mad. Gonzo is the man. He would come into my parents restaurant when I was kid and even played catch with me a couple times.

Like how everyone is taking the high horse route on this issue. For all we know, Puig doesn't even know who Gonzales is and probably despises anything associated with the Diamondbacks, you know, since one of their pitchers threw a ball at his face.

He's not from this country.

Rather him be a punk than groping females in the ER.

I don't really care what Puig does or how he acts lol I was just stating that Gonzo is a nice guy.

Puig did an interview with help from an interpreter on MLBN. It was the most awkward interview I've ever seen. Puig is def not comfortable with the media. I could easily see his lack of communication skills (even speaking Spanish) causing this stir up with Gonzo.

Puig doesn't wanna talk to anyone besides Dodgers personnel and his teammates, nothing wrong with that.
