McGwire and Sosa don't belong in the HOF in my opinion because they weren't **** before the steroids.

With this great resource called the internet, people don't use it to back up their claims,.

It gets very muddy on who to allow and why. When steroids/PED's became rampant, etc, etc.

I think all those with worthy numbers from the Steroid/"Live Ball" era should be allowed in the Hall. This includes Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, Sosa, Palmeiro, etc.

It is an important era in baseball history.

I'm a lazy person, no way am I going to go get stats and ****

McGwire was a power hitter, but he didn't have THAT kind of power until he found the right juice.
They've said Sosa wasn't a great player, that's been said by plenty of analysts. Then they find out his bat was corked.

As for PEDs/Steroids....I wouldn't be surprised if 80% or more were using them during that era. I don't think they should be punished by not joining the Hall of Fame. Selig knew what was going on and he was getting paid because of it. It's almost as if players needed to do it to keep up with other players. So they don't need to be banned from the HOF but it should count as a strike against them.

I guess 47 HRs in his rookie season isnt having "that kind of power"

I said he was a power hitter. He came into the league swollen but his last few years he hits the most HRs of his career........I can't prove he was clean the entire time or not. He had a lot of ups and downs in that HR category and missed a lot of games due to "injury" I can't put a guy in the HOF that hit close to half of his HRs in the last five seasons of his career

But I do believe some players that have used should be in the HOF

Zack Greinke at .406 in 32 AB. trying to become 5th pitcher to hit .400 (>20 AB) in 50 yrs. last: allen watson, .417, '95

The Nats are hitting .094 with RISP over their last 10 games and have wasted two great efforts from Gio and Strasburg the past two nights :smh: this team is more painful to watch than the 100+ loss teams of 2008 and '09.

Excited to see Junior Lake get a call up. Hope he can learn while he's up.

Starlin, Rizzo, Lake.

With Baez + more on the way. I can get behind that.

Hopefully they don't send Lake back down when DeJesus comes off the DL, kid is exciting
