Ike was good in 2010 and 2012. Optimistic Davis fans will say he can re-emerge as Crush-lite. I don't believe that sentiment, but he can rebound at 26.

NYM offered Ike to Milwaukee to replace Hart's bat. Asked for Thornburg, which was promptly declined.

So does that mean Smoak is finished in Seattle?

Thought he'd be their opening day first basemen.

Champ, Ike is awful  although, I've always felt like I've been too hard on him considering his Valley Fever issues.

Kind of hope not. Huge disappointment so far, but I love his progression of getting on base in more appearances. More selective at the plate and if that keeps moving in the right direction then he could be a decent player. Probably not what everyone thought, but productive.

Hoping the M's make a play for Johan. Safeco is the exact place than can extend the career of a savvy, future hall of fame, pitcher. Nestle him between Felix and Kuma and I think he can pitch pretty well for two years.

He could. Would be even better as a 4, in June when Walker comes up.

That's unrealistic Met fans  same guys who thought Duda would hit 30+. CD would hit bombs in any stadium though, Ike can't. He thrives in hitters parks. If he would have stayed healthy in '11 though :smh:

As long as he keeps making progress laying off the off speed stuff, he should get better.

Mariners would be stupid as hell to move Walker. Nick Franklin will more than likely be moved though. He's got to much potential to be a utility guy. Hopefully for kemp

Couple quick prospect notes: If I was LAA, I would have done anything to acquire Bradley over Corbin and Miley. Forget Skaggs or Santiago.

I projected Bundy to be better than Gausman before the TJS. Versatile FB, sick cutter.

I'm amped for Russell and Lindor. Now that Kolten has "moved up."

Singleton and Correa are two bright spots for Houston's future.

Detroit bargain shopping. $5M per. Rajai has tremendous value as a platoon option LF with Dirks. Swipes 30-40 bags a year easy.

Sweeny Murti was reporting Colon to NYM for a good while. Rosenthal made it official, $10M per. Not many teams were interested in giving Colon that second year. But he'll eat innings with Harvey recovering. Can't expect the Oakland version. Colon, Wheeler, Niese, Gee. Not bad. Sandy is pretty much done after Young, Grandy, Colon.

I like Volquez on a one-year deal for Pittsburgh as a middle of the rotation to back end starter. Control was always his problem.

would gardner for nick franklin be a fair deal for the yanks? and would wilmer flores for asdrubal Cabrera be a fair deal too for the mets?

MLB Rules Committee are trying to eliminate home plate collisions. It is now up to the MLBPA to approve.

Would be fair for both sides.

I wouldn't trade Flores if I were the Mets. They need all the minor league depth they can get.

Wave: Franklin for Gardy is more fair for NYY than SEA, IMO. Especially when Jack Z. has held discussions with LAD about a Franklin package for Matty Kemp. Yes, I recognize the salary difference between Matty and Gardy.

Gardy is comparable to Aoki and Fowler in terms of return and value.

Cleveland probably wins that swap. I've long found Cabrera to be overrated and wanted to deal him many times previously. You're not getting the 2011 player/version.

I don't love Flores but he's probably NYM's third best prospect after Noah. Depending how you rank/value Montero and d'Arnaud.

Cash Flow: Buster Posey Rule.

I'll always think it's funny how Posey got hurt and the outcry came for no collisions from fans and the media alike. Carlos Santana got obliterated by Kalish the year before and it was never even suggested by the same people who came to Posey's aid.
