Man my first year of college I walked on and red shirted. Even if i wasn't playing but practicing pretty much every day and then I played in the MINK league and practically playing every day and throwing every other day I was so damn tired when I came home that summer. I couldn't even imagine playing 162 and playoffs that's one hell of a grind but these dudes are getting paid millions for it so it definitely can't be that bad.

Amaro has to be the dumbest GM to have ever walked the Earth. It's amazing he still has a job  what are they trying to do?

I get that Hamels won't be ready for Opening Day, but overpaying Burnett for likely only 10-12 wins... not a good look.

Phils are confused. They went from shopping Lee and Hamels before the trade deadline last season to renting Burnett this year. Pirates and Nats weren't going that high.

Although the thought of Burnett to close out that rotation is sick. Stras - Gio - Zim - Fister - Burnett. Sucio.

Mets are going to be terrible. No way they finish anywhere close to .500
Bet. O/U how many wins. 74 last year. Mets go 75+ easy.

Amaro is terrible, Phils need to rebuild, yet they keep selling their fan base the notion they will contend.

Overpaying on a 1 year deal is better than giving someone a 2-3 year deal. I like that strategy.

Phillies dropped the ball by rewarding their aging veterans.

Silver lining and hope is in Dom, Quinn, Franco.

Derek Jeter announces he will retire after 2014 season. His final regular-season game will be at #Fenway Park on Sept. 28. #Yankees

hopefully we send the yankee captain into the sunset with a big L

respectfully, of course

That's sad as ****

BTW, the only benefit I can see for Philly is that it is a one year deal and he may snag them a B prospect.
