Has anyone tried these zoom insoles that can be found on ebay? I was thinking about getting a pair. I'm trying to find out how they perform and if there are any possible cons that might result from their use.

FullMetal a have experience on this subject. Let me tell you that ALL sellers on Ebay sell LOW pressurised 6mm zoom insoles(can be squeezed with 2 fingers easily) which basically are only good for putting under the insole for added comfort. Expect no springiness or responsiveness from these zoom insoles.
If you want to put them in a shoe's midsole as the basic cushioning element, I recommend you NTer: ''eltouha''!
He has THE BEST ZOOM INSOLES you can imagine. Super high pressurised 8mm zoom bags perfect for basketball(Double stacked my heel only  Zoom BB2 lows) with excellet responsiveness and that much loved springy feedback.
BUT before ordering make sure to check both width and length inside the shoes midsole which must have full length foam cushioning(with AIR on the heel, or Zoom) so when you remove the foam(and the heel zoom-AIR bag if wanted) you'll get a nice pocket for the zoom bag. Otherwise putting the full length bag as an insole over the existing midsole cushioning, will not only add extra hight but instantly KILL stability-fit and lockdown.
For my size 11US BB2 lows I needed a 24cm length-8cm width zoom bag which must be size 6US

It is possible but painful both to you and the shoes. You will have to remove the insole and cut through the fabric covering the midsole cushioning. Then you will see the heel zoom bag and the big ''lunar'' foam square on the forefoot. Now, as you understand the only way to put the full length zoom bag is to create the shape of it by cutting the foam and in order to do that you will possibly have to remove the tongue so you can cut through the foam with ease. When you finish that the next problem is the foam removing process. If you manage that and have a perfect fitting place for the zoom bag you are ok. ( I recommend removing the existing heel zoom bag so you avoid any fit-lockdown and stability issues.
Possible problems: The size of the zoom bag* thus the size of the cut you'll have to make. The height won't be a problem since the bags from ''eltouha'' are 8mm which is perfect for the ZKIV.

*You can choose if you want the zoom bag under your metatarsals(performance) or up to you toes. You will have to meassure from the back of the heel zoom bag up to your metatarsals + add half an inch to the bags length.

will these 8mm zoom insoles fit inside the kobe 6s? And please explain carefully about the cutting process @Gggggas. Cutting through all the material scares the heck outta me.

First of all the Zoom BB2 lows have the full length foam ready to be removed just by pulling it up, since for some reason they ended up having only a heel zm bag and filled the rest with foam. In other words the whole midsole was built for the full length zoom bag but instead of it they put a full length piece of foam. The walls surrounding the midsole foam are made of rubber thus it is very easy to remove the glued foam.
On the ZKVI this is not the case. The WHOLE midsole of the shoe is made of injection phylon and the zoom bags are inside the foam.

So imo I would not advise a surgery on these, it would be impossible to cut out a random piece of foam from the midsole in order to fit the zoom bag.

If you didn't understand my description let me know.

^yes I actually see the zoom bags when i remove the insole. Do you know which shoes don't have injected phylon and what is the difference between a regular phylon midsole (sometime cushlon) and injected phylon. Thanks for answering the question, I was always curious in the technology in the shoes. Will this "surgery" be recommended for any other shoes?
