Review request: Zoom Insoles from ebay?

^yes I actually see the zoom bags when i remove the insole. Do you know which shoes don't have injected phylon and what is the difference between a regular phylon midsole (sometime cushlon) and injected phylon. Thanks for answering the question, I was always curious in the technology in the shoes. Will this "surgery" be recommended for any other shoes?

wouldn't advise cutting through the zk6 as well... support might be
impaired and the cushioning too making any attempt counter productive.

First of all, the only shoes I would recommend you to put full length zoom bags are the Zoom BB low series since as I told you, they are built for full length zoom air. If anyone knows other shoes that are safe for full length zoom air let us know. On other shoes the only way to put zoom air is just under the insole or insted of it. Have in notice that putting a full length bag inside a shoe's midsole will affect:
Fit and Lockdown (midsole becomes higher, shoe was not designed for this height)

Stability (the zoom bag may not fit like a glove+the extra height)

Court feel

Heel to toe transition

Weight

That's the reason I don't recommend it for shoes other than the BB low series. I don't refer to the option of putting the bag as an insole since it will kill all the above^.

Now to the foams,

Phylon is the most common form of EVA and some forms of it which are injected or compression molded are following

Compression molded Phylon is a form of phylon

(Shoes like the CPIV use this foam on the pods for a responsive ride)

Injection Phylon is another form of phylon which is lighter, softer and more responsive.

(Shoes for the Kobe line like the V or the VI.

Cushlon is a more resilent foam softer than all of the above still more responsive than Phylon and sometimes gives a firmer ground feel.

(Hyperfuse has a cushlon midsole while AM Fly by has a phylon midsole, also the KD line had always cushlon but switched to Phylon on the KD3)

Phylite is a mixture of phylon and rubber which makes it heavier but more durable and it can be exposed to the ground

(Running shoes and on Basketball it was seen on the Hyperize)

A lot of other NTers can easily add more info about the foams.

That's what I'm saying, never cut through a shoe.

can you use these insoles as just an insole haha like take out the cheap foam insole and just add full length zoom air insoles that your foot would actually touch haha

^they are smooth plastic so your foot (as wellas the zoom bladder) would slide around without a standard insole on top.

Can anyone that has bought these chime in a bit about the sizing?

I'm a Size 8, but as far as I'm concerned, I need to know 2 different sizes for these zoom insole:

1) What size zoom should I get to replace shoes with stock full zoom units (i.e. Lebron 11, Kobe 11 iD full zoom, etc)?

My Lebron 11 midsole comes with a zoom unit that's 21cm long

2) What size zoom should I get to slip under the shoes without stock zoom units (i.e. Kobe 9, Mamba Instinct, etc)?

To fit into a Size 8 the zoom unit should be as close to 26cm as possible.

I tried asking the merchants to use a caliper to measure out the heel-to-toe length of the units of different sizes, but all of them just respond with the sizing chart they have in their listing.
