I would say Blade Runner but it's not a movie for the casual fan. All the rest of the movies are serviceable. I was surprised Battle Los Angeles was ok. It's a good movie to catch on cable.

Act of Valor is maligned because of the subpar acting but the action sequences are cool, especially when the US boat lights up the drug runners trying to catch the SEAL team.... There were proly 4000-6000 rounds (or possibly more) spent during this scene from the boat's guns... :x

The only movie that I've seen from that selection is A-Team.

Which is a good movie(4/5).

I think that it should be the 1st or 2nd movie you watch from that list.

Why are you acting like everyone has seen star wars?

i liked it alot when i saw it in theatres.

bought the blu ray and watched again and i agree. it wasnt as good as i first thought
i may need to rewatch first class.. because i enjoyred it alot when i saw it in theaters too

rewatched jaws the other day.. man, that's a good movie.. not sure, if i said it in this thread or not.. but some movies, they have no chance in hell of remaking (said it in response to 'warriors' being mentioned).. and jaws is one of them

i have no clue which actor would even try to recreate the quint role played by shaw.. i could see the dreyfuss role and the scheider roles.. but the chemistry the 3 had together, the suspense, the whole thing.. nope

Look I'm not bashing you just a little surprised... Generally speaking if your a movie fan (especially people that post in here regularly) the first 3 Star Wars should've been something viewed already without having to ask what the allure is but that's if you call yourself a movie fan. If your just a casual watcher, then I guess I can understand...

It's like calling yourself a foodie & never having tried sushi or a good steak. Can you really call yourself a foodie?

If you watched it & didn't like them, I could understand. Everyone has their tastes...

to be honest, depends what you're in the mood for..

if you have seen 'reguiem for a dream', then you know what you're in store for with 'black swan'

a-team, act of valor and battle los angeles are all light movies.. so you can just sit back and enjoy and not take them tooo seriously

'blade runner', i hear good things about.. and i keep meaning to actually get around to just sitting down and watching it.. but just never have.. i've seen bits and pieces when it's been on.. but i've never sat and watched the whole thing.. and i'm a big ridley scott fan (

Me personally, I've mentioned before that I've always been drawn to character conflict.

Star Wars is... THICK... w/ character conflict.

I'm also a sucker for a classic good vs. evil plotline, which is obviously displayed in every aspect of the saga.

And culturally, the context surrounding the first release, space movies back then were more about futuristic happenings, less about a quality screenplay and plotline. Calling this a space movie is like calling Higher Learning a movie about college; there's SOOOO much more to it.

And the most intense character struggle of the saga... possibly in all of movie history... is that of Anakin/Darth.

I'm intentionally keeping this extremely short, because I know CP's about to throw down something serious soon as he comes through.

Starting off strong with Blade Runner then it's
Act of Valor, A-Team, Battle: LA and finishing strong with Black Swan. Looking forward to all of these.

Jaws is a great movie. Its remarkable to me how well its held up over the years. Its good enough that, when I watch it, I don't even think about the pretty basic nature of the shark effects, etc. And Robert Shaw is awesome in it. The scene when they're own the boat, getting drunk and comparing scars is one of my favorites.
