Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

^That goes without saying.

Nothing.......is better than Alias.

Don't do that again.

I'm talking bout 1st seasons here. I meant that Bradley Cooper Alias.

If Veronica Mars would've ended after the first season, you'd hear about it as much as gone too soon amazing shows like Firefly and Freaks.

It's one, perfect from beginning to end, high school murder mystery about who killed Amanda Seyfried.
The writing is too good. The characters are great. The mood and feel of the show was that antidote to The OC.
Kristen Bell shoulda got an Emmy for the finale, and that bald guy from Just Shoot Me kills it as her dad.

And the first season finale is amazing.

It's just after that...2 seasons of sophomore slump...a lot of good in there, but a lot "yall have no clue anymore, do you?"
Didn't know how to top greatness... :smh:

Wow I didn't know he misspelled it so it didn't connect. A Veronica Mars movie, really? For me that show was extra forgettable and I was tuning in weekly. Just never struck a chord with me when I was done with it as a whole. Wow so the Mars fans really want to see Bell back as this character on the big screen? This should be interesting.

weebey :smokin

I mean...damn, I wouldn't wanna oversell it or anything...but the first season of Veronica Mars is right there...maybe better than Freaks and Geeks, better than the first season of Alias....man there just aren't really shows that compare to it.

That 1 season is the best thing Kristen Bell has done, so if they're making a movie, I'm definitely looking out for it.
Hope it's good...even though a Kickstarter for something like this probably says it won't be?

crossed the $1 million mark in 4 hours.

Pretty insane.

Unfortunately now we are going to see a ton of tv shows try this and fail

Your excuses and reasoning mean nothing to me.

Alias >* Network wise.

Sopranos, Wire, Breaking Bad, Alias in some order.

lol Jennifer Garner isn't that great. Be serious.
He don't want reason. He want somethin else.

Has there been a discussion about Moon in here yet?

It's a great flick
I don't think so...it really is a great movie. One of the best sci-fi things in the last...longest.
It's weird, though. I wouldn't know how to recommend it to people, or even really to talk about it.
And it's one of those movies I always tell myself I need to watch again, but I only saw it the one time in theaters.

There aren't any specific scenes or ideas to really grab onto and say...THIS...THIS is why it's amazing.

Sam Rockwell killed it. Duncan Jones nailed it.
Like...it just is what it is and does an amazingly good job at that.

Yo there's this rerun of Modern Family and Rafi is guest starring on it as the daughter's bf

What did everyone think of the Kick *** 2 trailer?
It was cool. Noticed they changed things so it could match. I mean Hit-Girl obviously doesn't look like a 13 year old but it was cool (which is why she's referred to being 15). Kick-*** looks strangely ripped in this. I look forward to Jim's performance.

Been burning through some stuff over spring break.. GoldenEye.. :pimp:

I watched Children of Men for the first time in probably a year and I forget how much I really do love that movie. It works on so many levels for me and Cuaron is just a great director. It's dark, violent, and it feels more relevant than a lot of dystopian future films do. Love it.

Battle Royale... :wow: :x I'll post full thoughts on that after I soak it in.

Oh yeah, I liked Cowboys & Aliens..... or at least I didn't mind it enough to hate it and think it was horrible.

Yea, I mean Iron Man 2 was pretty trash, but Favreau kept talking up how it was the studio's fault, so people were still big on him. And that was his first thing after it, so people were pretty hype, even though the trailers weren't too special.

But that is one bland, lifeless, DOA movie. Like it's probably straight on TV where you can just do other stuff while you wait for anything worth watching to happen, but Craig just gave you nothing. You could maybe say that was what the character was, but there's brooding...and then there's "nothing." And Olivia Wilde was just...nothing. It felt like they didn't have a script, just some ideas. The aliens made Battleship look good. I mean, the only thing that worked in the whole movie was somehow Harrison Ford. He really tried for once.

The movie just had no clue what it wanted to be.

It was this really gritty update to Fi****l of Dollars type movie...and War of the Worlds...and Transformers...and Bourne Identity...and The Forgotten...
Too much trying to cram through one door. It's basically the grownup, wild west I Am Number Four.
I mean...it's barely a movie. One of the worst most disappointing things that came out in 2011.

And it sucks more when you know that RDJ was originally casted.
