Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

i am missing out on so much great films
I hadn't seen Fresh in years before I watched it some time late last year. Truly a great movie. I notice as a whole they do not make hood movies at the quality they used to it seems after hip hop really opened ppl's eyes to inner workings of the ghetto ppl moved on to the next thing in the 2000s.

You taking it back with Bad Boys though  I hope that narrator isn't dead. He make anything sound badass. That voice, just the whole format of that trailer constantly saying the title after every little scene, the dialogue. "Only one person left believes in Mick O'Brien, that's Mick O'Brien" The 80s was something else

They sure as hell don't make em like they used to

I might watch Clockers or Do The Right Thing today

Saw Usual Suspects.

4/5
So the movie lied to me?
I was like son of a ***** when Kevin Spacey started walking normally.
What was the point of having them all go to all the trouble of taking the "coke" from the ship?
Lulz at Gus being in this movie.

It was all revenge. He was killing the dude that could ID him and taking out everyone else involved in his plan, no loose ends.

I didn't love Skyfall nearly as much as the majority.. Casino Royal was way better IMO

This.

Yea, Skyfall was overhyped like hell, but I could appreciate what they did with the history....Bardem killed it, and like every other shot of that film looked all types of gorgeous.

Casino though...You gotta be in the mood for Skyfall...**** you if there's 10 minutes in the day that you ain't in the mood for Casino Royale.
That's a forever movie. Eva, the chase, the poison, the axe fight, all of it. I mean, it ain't even that old and it's already a cable classic.
Even with the 5 endings. :smokin

one of my favourite films ever... Children of Men, every time i watch it I learn new subliminal history as to how they got there with every character. plus the cinematography is just perfect
I love that movie. Every time you watch it you get a new appreciation for it. There's just so much depth and detail going on in the background. Symbolism everywhere, little payoffs and coincidences all over the place. Like when you figure out what Quietus is. The long takes...that world just feels so full and real. And not a moment of the film feels false. The best sci-fi movie of the 20-- for me.

Why do people like Usual Suspects so much? I don't get it.

Spacey killed the role. Overall, I think the movie wasn't ALL that great.. first time watch was pretty interesting and fresh though.

I'll give you that. Spacey and Benicio were awesome
But like...I saw it for the first time when I was 12, and guessed the ending halfway through. So when it happened, it was kinda like...okay, so what?

I mean, people keep going on and on about how it's the best ending ever or w/e, but doesn't that just mean most of the movie you saw didn't happen? And most of the details and characters are just random **** he pulled out of his ***?

How is that fun for people?

Idk, maybe it was just me and my stupidity.. but I didn't figure it out until they showed it

Nowhere near the best ending ever for me, but you know how it is.. every time there's a twist in a movie people freak out and call it the best ever.

IE: Kiddin Like Jason and Triangle.

PS: I love Triangle.

PPS: Is it time for another S&T rewatch of Triangle?/SPOILER]

Iono it probably helped that I saw LA Confidential and Se7en before that.

PS: I love Triangle.
Yes.
Every time I think I'm done, it ends up on my DVR again.

Just came back from The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, not terrible but nothing special. Wish there was more magic to dazzle. Hard not to feel like a Sigried and Roy story just poking fun at new school magic. Laughs are mediocre at best. Jim Carrey is beyond annoying. Needed more Olivia Wilde magic

you kidding me? Jim Carrey was the best thing about that movie. Him and Alan Arkin.

as far as Spring Breakers the trailer made me cringe. Did not look good at all. please tell me all the girls die. that would be the only saving grace

It looked like Sugar & Spice only Sugar & Spice had a more believable reason to rob

Definitely one of those movies you've gotta see. I usually watch it once a year. Same with Menace II Society :smokin

IMO Kids was terrible and overrated.

I think dudes other movie Wassup Rockers was better.

Dude has a strange obsession with shirtless teenagers in his movies though. Wouldnt surprise me if hes one of those hollywood pedophiles

Menace 2 Society is a CLASSIC

Gave The Matrix a rewatch finally after last watching it when I was like 11..... its sooooo good

Entourage...what a amazing show. I've rewatched it like 5x

Ari Gold is still the greatest tv charcter ever

Watched Men In Black III last night. Pretty much exactly what I expected, but I was entertained. Josh Brolin definitely did his thing as the young K. Jemaine Clement, who I generally am a fan of, was enjoyable as Boris the Animal. Solid B, IMO.
