Get creative with google. Type in top underrated movies. Or search by decade. Or foreign. Or go through by director.

it's baseball season officially - watched Moneyball again last night and 61* a few days ago...those of you who want great sports films or just want to revisit them - these 2 are the best to come out after 1999

I was disappointed with Moneyball when I first saw it, I have to give it another chance. 61* though, I watch over and over and over. Love that movie so much.

That's both dvd and instant. My instant is around 150 though. Probably 50 are crap I won't ever watch

people who say its garbage are just looking for the more recent new movies

i wish netflix had a playlist mode where you can add stuff to a playlist and it will play instantly back to back

Saw an unopened DVD lying around from probably 4/5 years ago, just finished watching it. The Wild Bunch .

Great American-western. Up there with Good, Bad & the Ugly IMO.

Aside from the newer ones like Unforgiven & Dances With Wolves, I never really cared for westerns until now. Aside from the Clint Eastwood's spaghetti westerns & The Magnificent Seven, I like Butch Cassidy & The Sun Dance Kid with Robert Redford & Paul Newman. Can't beat the ending of the flick either.

Edit - Also loved Open Range with Kevin Costner & Robert Duvall.

I liked this top 10 gun fight list for Westerns...





In edition to The Magnificent Seven, this inspired a lot of movies including many other Westerns... I know it kinda goes without saying. The final battle scene is a blue print for a ton of movies. It's actually kinda astounding. Here's a portion of it.

I haven't watched a single movie since I signed up for Netflix. Been using it just for tv. Just wish The Simpsons were on there.
 
Moneyball is a great background noise movie. It's on Starz every day (no, seriously), and if I just want something on while I'm working or whatever, that's always a top choice.

Sugar is still the best baseball (sports) movie I've ever seen.

Looking forward to 42, but I'm not expecting to be blown away.

Anyone seen Ballplayer: Pelotero? I keep forgetting to check it out. Maybe I'll do that in lieu of the season starting.

I saw a Place Beyond the Pines yesterday afternoon. I'd say its a 2/3 great movie. The first third is amazing to say the least. It loses steam after that. Mike Patton's score is chilling. I give Derek Cianfrance props for going all out for this. The cinematography was amazing and I loved all the tracking shots of the main characters. I think Ryan Gosling should get a supporting nod for this.
