Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

JA...this looks pretty damn good as far as today's horror goes.

Yeaaah, kind of agree with Dub. I've seen countless movies come and go with pretty much that same premise.

I'm not saying I won't give it a chance, because I will most likely, especially if it gets good reviews.

With horror today, you just don't get very many good films. Normally, the reviewers are spot on with the consensus I come to with a film if we're talking about horror films.

2012 only had two decent horror films the entire year, and I saw pretty much everything that was worth seeing.

I've heard of it, and will keep my eye on it, but not
entirely optimistic.
:smokin
Smokin Aces...I love this movie

Just caught the season 3 premiere of Game of Thrones. Very solid. Got me hyped for the rest of the season.

If you don't feel like watching it all, just watch seasons 3, 4 and 5. Those are unskippable.

Saw 3 movies last weekend for a total of $16.

It was aight. Had a little twist at towards the end didnt see coming at all.

The Host...horrible. Homegirl that took me lent me the book though.
Sci-fi love-trianglish Twilight type stuff.
Concept good. Movie bad.

GI Joe: Retaliation...enjoyed it.
Good action scenes.
Cobra Commander's original mask :pimp:
Snake Eyes vs Storm Shadow :pimp:
Girl that plays Lady Jaye :pimp:
Cant go wrong with Bruce Willis in it either.

Have you guys ever put someone onto a movie that they thought that they wouldn't like, but after watching it, they liked it?

I've got a friend who doesn't like superhero movies because of the costumes.

For this reason, he hasn't seen any of Nolan's batmans.

He liked Inception, so I used his liking of that to persuade him to watch Batman Begins.

He's just like "nawww."

Lol...wut?

Anyone familiar with this type of situation.

If so, how'd you handle it?

amazing how that book was written almost 100 years ago....and still it feels so modern. the cinematography looks amazing and i know my boy Leos gonna bring it home. cant wait for that movie.

Looking forward to Only God Forgives. Nicolas Refn & Steve McQueen are 2 of the most interesting "newish" directors I like a lot. Looks like Refn has his guy in Gosling & McQueen has his in Fassbender. I can't wait until Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave starring Fassbender, Brad Pitt, & Chiwetel Ejiofor. It looks like it won't be released until late 2013.

It's universally praised as one of the greatest books of the 20th century, no.. it can't live up

That movie was done for when they hired Baz and put jay z music in the Trailor

Awesome book though

Better to be extravagant and over the top than try a boring, safe adaptation. Then tried that and it was a snooze fest.

Anyone catch the Beyonce/Andre 3000 cover of Amy Winehouse's Back to Black at the beginning of the trailer? If the movie bombs, it should have a decent soundtrack at least...
