Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

The lack of the Sopranos is an issue, but otherwise a great collection.

Plus, Lost should have forfeited all rights to be on that list because of the stupid finale. Yes, I'm still mad.

 I made the 'F Lost season 6' thread, but I can admit...the s3 finale was one of the greatest TV eps. It was a movie.

And with how OD his fanbases still are, I was surprised nothing from Joss Whedon was there, like the "The Body" or "Hush" from Buffy or the last ep of Firefly or "A Hole in the World" from Angel.

One of the last 2 episodes of The Shield too.

The episode of Doctor Who, "Blink," is the one I tell anyone who doesn't know if it's for them to watch. A young Carey Mulligan is in it too.

That's a pretty awesome list.

Of all time? Or over the last 10 years? IMDB still sucks. The Shawshank Redemption as the GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME and The Dark Knight rated higher than any Stanley Kubrick or Alfred Hitchcock movie ever? Only teenagers think that is a valid source for finding out how good something is.

I've never seen Goonies. Never ever cared to.

I've seen bits and pieces of it of course, 15-20 minutes, here, 10 minutes there, etc, but never once sat down start to finish. *shrugs*

WOW now thats blasphemy

The goonies gotta be one of if not the greatest childrens films of all time... Maybe Labrynth comes close if they blurred out david bowies junk

about goonies, it irked me whenever they edited out mouths whole rant in the diner at the begining of the movie. it wasnt even that bad... kind of funny how nowadays movies have t be so politically correct yet they got channels on tv telling little girls to dress, dance, and suck d like ******... smh

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters....the first one was actually pretty decent. A lot better than I was expecting, plus Im a sucker for anything dealing with any type of mythology.

yay been waiting for this lol

man im a big red dawn fan.....which is why im about to rent the remake :x

im already expecting it to be trash so that means it has a better chance to be watchable

can someone post up some links to lists of top movies.

the greatest movies of all time of 2012 etc..

foreign, anime whatever is clever.

i would really appreciate it, am im sure some others would too.

Face off is nowhere near the best breaking bad episode ever. I really disagree with the train one too. I thought it got close to outlandish. Yes the ending was amazing but there are so many breaking better bad episodes out

2 Futurama episodes are better than almost everything on there. If you like that show they should pop right into your head haha

I'm sure there are 20 Simpsons episodes that could go othat list.

Plus Seinfeld and crub

The list is really good if it is for recent episodes. All time? Not even close. But they did get some great ones like the sopranos one. I love most of the season premiers of the sopranos.

I think I'm the only person the world that likes the coma episode.

The best way to do those lists is just google.

Like I search for most underrated movies. Underrated gems. Best comedies of the 1990's., best psycological thrillers of all time etc. I also go through directors resume's

You just need to get creative.

No Seinfeld "The Contest?", disappointed. Good list overall tho
m
This. Thought it was basically known its the greater single episode ever by fans and tv viewers.

The community one that is #16...i would even go as far as putting that top 3 ever. No doubt.

Friday night lights was spot on...that episode was clutch.

#1 spot was...Agreeable. No hate from me. Classic.

I'll say a episode that should be top 5 is Curb your euth...when Larry cuts the hair off the little girls doll. Straight classic

 How old is imdb?

What do you think imdb is?

It's a social/psychological thing. It's a measure of what fanbases were so hyped out of their minds that they ran to give it a perfect 10. And it's a measure of who was so uncritical that they'd reach straight for a 10. And it rewards anything especially rewatchable and culturally (even in its own bubble) understood to be great, that wasn't hit with too strong a wave of apathy or backlash.

Don't be mad, because imdb isn't what you wish it was. Be mad, because people aren't who you wish they were and that it didn't come in time or in taste to hype up the things you love.

That list is exclusively great to me, in that I understand the great quality in the episodes I've seen that people gravitated towards.

Just watch the last 30 minutes. Rest of the film is trash
Don't listen to this guy, the whole film is good. I don't understand how people can watch shows like Homeland, Mad Men, hell even The Wire, then complain about the pacing of a movie like ZDT being slow or boring. If that first half of the movie had been a Homeland episode it would have been the most action packed episode of the show. Why do people expect their movies to be one long roller coaster ride?

I liked what I saw in the first episode of Hannibal. Mads Mikkelsen shows a lot of promise in this role. The only problem I have with the first episode is Mr. Claire Danes. aka Hugh Dancy . I think he over does it, specifically when he goes into the trance like state when he sees the crime unfold. It's one thing to see the images or imagine how the crime went down but it looks like he's Dr. Banner getting ready to turn into Hulk. I hope they tone that down...
