Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

AMC is picking it back up Buddha.

Not gonna front, I'll check out the season 3 premiere. It's hard for me to up and quit a show even if it has fallen off a bit (I'm looking at you Dexter).

The Killing never recovered from backlash over the season 1 finale.

How old is Chloe Grace Mortez now? I need to figure out if these thoughts I'm having are inappropriate or not?

On a slightly related note, Blake Lively might actually be a good actor. I'm watching Hick and I didn't immediately recognize her and I'm actually believing the character she's portraying.

Movie was pretty good, Chole remained consistent showed some range. Limping cowboy sure was crazy and Alec Baldwin showing up in the end really caught me off guard  Reminded me of another movie where he showed up and he really just did a bit role that he didn't have to do at all. Given the small cast he managed to make it really seem important along with the other 3-4 characters.

EDIT

I still can't get how AMC cancels Rubicon and keeps The Killing :smh:  and I stuck it through the 2nsd season just to get some closure but that red herring writing was never what was up :x

Major League was great two was solid. 3 had a couple of moments I just love baseball movies. Rookie of the Year was my favorite as a kid.

I'm watching Bates Motel for the first time since it's like a mini marathon of all the new eps. So if this is a like a prequel to Psycho why is it set in present day? I didn't expect the iphones and all that  (then the way the teacher dressed through me off too cuz it seemed a bit dated

Anyway I like it for what it is. I dig Vera (all I would've needed was those few thrusts) even with the way the mom acts weirds me out, digging the teacher lady (she's been in a few other things), digging all the school girls being friendly with Norman.

I'm not digging this kid playing Norman though. Son is like a B grade Michael Cera that is trying to not go for the comedy potential in acting that way. If you've seen the movie he was lead role in with Emma Roberts he's basically playing the same exact role he did in that as Norman and yeah he does it well but it's not impressive.
Chloe is 16
Too soon.

Too soon.

So wrong but it'd be so good.

You know that was one of those questions I didn't really want the answer to.

Everyone always says The Prestige is the greatest movie of all time. I only tried to watch it once and fell asleep about halfway through.

Might give it another shot within the next few days.

The coast guard.....I  have a feeling I'm the only one on NT who likes the movie tho

Zero Dark Thirty was great! The whole time kept my attention. Only thing negative I have to say about it was after a while it was difficult keeping up with who is who.
Also Sin City came on Syfy channel last night, watched it for the first time....I didn't like it at all but nothing else was on

Speaking of Syfy channel there's a new show coming on tomorrow called Defiance. It looks like a Battlestar Galatica/Firefly hybrid. Pretty excited to see what it's like

That was the movie that sold me on Blake Lively as well.

i've always thought about a wizard of oz movie that was centered around a runaway, but have it be a little more obvious than this one
