Yep. I'm not mad at it. NBC and Lorne want to keep it in the family, maybe Meyers might change up the format some to suit his style... I'd prefer that actually.

I'd LOVE to see John Mulaney take over host duties on Weekend Update. If not him, put Anthony Jeselnik on there

I would give away everything that I have to be a “Weekend Update” anchor, and I don’t think it will ever happen. It’s one of those things that would have been my dream job, but as I was coming up, SNL never called me. They never asked me to submit a packet or come on board, and I think they’ve gotten away from having stand-ups on the show. I think probably Norm Macdonald was the last pure stand-up they had. I’ve always told agents and managers if that job is ever in play, I want to be in the conversation, even if it’s just to have my name brought up in the room. But I would throw everything away to be the “Weekend Update” anchor.

I'd enjoy that

Caught Lethal Weapon on Encore tonight. First time I've seen it in a while. Clothes, cars (and Mel Gibson's mullet) are a little dated, but otherwise it's held up real well. Great cop/action movie.

I was watching it too, the Lethal Weapon franchise is waaaaaay underrated. Incredible job to keep the entire cast together and add 1 person each sequel. No other franchise can claim that, ever.

Congrats to Seth Meyers for getting that Late Night gig. Lorne Micheals getting that power/steez at NBC on the entertainment side like **** Embersol had on the sports side. I just hope he can produce some more hits for NBC to bring them back to prominence.

Much rather have Seth Meyers than jimmy Fallon. Dude is terrible. But honestly I rarely watch any of those shows

Isn't jeselnik way too dark for SNL? I've only seen his roast stuff dude is waaaaay dark

Well he did write for Fallon for a bit.

He could probably tone it back enough but I'm sure it would be a lot darker than NBC wants.

Um...what?

That was nothing like I expected. I don't know what I just watched, but I'm there.

James Spader is at his best when he plays dark/evil baddies (Less Than Zero, Pretty In Pink, 2 Days In The Valley). This show looks interesting. It really grabbed me when the rookie profiler wanted info from Spader's character to save her husband.

I dunno...that kinda looks ordinary in a loud way.

If it got renewed and people were really hyping it up, I might check it out.

Still haven't finished watching Arrested Development, I'm on like the third season now.

And I'll probably watch that Michael J Fox show, it looks pretty decent
