Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

If you haven't been to Hawaii before, you had to choose that trip. Pro Bowl is just meh to me, but getting to go to the actual game has to be fun. Will you get credentialed again for next year's Sundance? Hope you do...

Yea it was my first time to Hawaii and it was all expenses paid. Better then being in Park City Utah in January.

But man I missed a lot of brilliant films.

Oh well...I'll hopefully be there next year

How you gone be better than him and you wearing his shoes HILARIOUS

Earthquake is hilarious!

There's got to be stuff Snyder left on the editing room floor that will make Man of Steel even better...

It's a great movie for what we've wanted out of Superman, but they jammed so much in there and bounced around so much, I wonder if we'll eventually get a Zack Snyder extended cut that dives into some of these things a little deeper...

I loved it, but they tried to cram too much into 2 hours and 20 minutes... It felt like a movie that could've easily supported an extra 20 minutes of footage.

Sounds like the dark knight rises

Holy crap!!!!! It's being reported James Gandolfini died in Italy from a heart attack!!!! Damn that sucks if true...

I know not many people may be interested, but if you are check out HBO's documentary "Love, Marilyn"

it features different actors and collaborators reading Marilyn Monroe's letters and diaries.

You really get a glimpse of how incredibly smart she was hearing her writings brought to life

RIP to James Gandolfini. Gone too soon. He created an iconic character that will long, long be remembered.

I'll be checking out that Marilyn doc.

What I posted in the thread

Damn man.. a lot of celebrity deaths are kind of "that sucks, he was great but it was his time", but man.. Gandoflini was still pretty young. He was always overweight but still... this sucks.

For fans of the Sopranos, do yourself a favor and read this article about the finale, but as soon as I heard the news I immediately thought of the final couple paragraphs.

This is what we do every day. We’re all headed for death. We’re all dead a little bit inside, able to ignore the suffering around us or refuse to change for our own betterment or capable of blotting out the terrible things done in our name (like the Iraq War all of the characters refuse to discuss with A.J.). Rhiannon says that Dylan’s song sounds as if it could have been written today, with a sense of wonder, but she only says that because she flatters herself into thinking her problems are more interesting or unique than anybody else’s, as we all do almost all of the time. Yet beneath all of the petty struggles and mob warfare that drive the plot of season six thrums an insistent terror, a constant mystery that engulfs all of the characters, even if to look at it blinds them. They are going to die. They are already dead. We are going to die. We are already dead.

But, also, we aren’t dead yet. There’s still time to reach out and experience all of the things you’ve missed, to make the most of every moment, to remember the good things. Tony Soprano blinks out, so his time, at least in our terms, is done. But we have this moment and this lifetime, and it will be gone before we know it. What comes after is anybody’s guess, but what we have now is something none of us experience in its fullness every day. The things that seem like they matter often don’t, and the things we lose ourselves in are often the least helpful. Chase leaves us with nothing but the blackness, and he’s giving us space to think, ponder, and consider, not a puzzle to be solved. Embrace the mystery. You’re not dead yet. What are you gonna do about that?

Anyone who was putting off watching The Sopranos, do yourself a favor and start now. It's one of the best shows ever made and Gandolfini gives a legendary performance. He will be missed.

Checked out The East over @ Kabuki tonight because I got off work early.

It wasn't bad, there were good performances all around, but I can see a lot of general audience not liking this.

It has the Steven Soderbergh effect. Normally very solid efforts, but very slow pacing, and plot-heavy films.

I personally enjoyed it, but I even found it to be a bit slow at times. It's a very long two hours.

Skarsgard, Page, and Brit Marling were all very solid, and the director has a lot of talent, but it's just a drag of a film.

For those who hadn't heard about it, it's a film about eco-terrorists who plan to bring down corporations for harming the environment. Borderline cultists, part anarchists, and partly justified.

It's a good rental if you really want to have a thinker of a film.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go watch front to back on the Sopranos one of these days. Just need to remember/find my HBOGo password

Kimmel has some great vids. This one was amusing...

(I Wanna) Channing All Over Your Tatum - Official Music Video featuring Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Olivia Munn, Miley Cyrus, Gabourey Sidibe, Jimmy Kimmel, & Matt Damon.

Every single time my girl sees him, she mentions how she almost fainted when she saw him at the lake with not shirt on. :smh: :frown:.
Dude grew up like a hour away from us

Drinking Buddies is a must watch as soon as it's available. Jake Johnson absolutely needs to be in more movies, Anna Kendrick.. enough said, and Olivia Wilde can do no wrong.

The Channing vid was funny. He's one of those dudes that you feel like you should dislike, but its hard to because he actually seems pretty cool. I put Justin Timberlake in the same category.

Oh, and Miley needs to gain some weight. Seriously.

After the Drinking Buddies I saw a link to trailer for a Michael Cera movie called Crystal Fairy. Looks pretty good.

First trailer for SXSW comedy Drinking Buddies starring Olivia Wilde, Jake Johnson and Anna Kendrick - http://wp.me/p2CCWq-37T

 @ Jake's beard.

Looks like this movie ends with them cheating on each other with the other couple or an orgy.

Crystal Fairy & the Magic Cactus looks good too.

I wouldn't have paid much to see empire State but it seems interesting enough despite seeing that kind of story before. If anything I just want to see how good of an actor Thor's brother is.

Drinking Buddies looks amazing and I will probably get slapped multiple times for watching Anna and Olivia on screen.

And another preview I noticed after was I Give It a Year with Rose Byrne, and that looks outstanding as well.

Need to keep an eye out for those.
