I think what ruined it for me was the ending. Thought it was cheesy.
...is just...man...that movie is comedy? I look at it the same way I look at Once Upon a Time in Mexico
or Smokin Aces
. There's a little bit of True Romance
in it, a little Man on Fire
, a little Domino
, a little Three Kings
. If anything was wrong with it, it's that it didn't go far enough. And the 3 kids were just the wrong stuff? Like Kick-*** isn't bad, but Riggins and Blake Lively just ain't got much to make you really care about them or the ridiculous stuff they go through. Plank from Ed, Edd and Eddy got more charisma than them. Riggins might be cardboard (still gotta watch Lone Survivor
), but I think hate
really dislike Blake Lively, she's the worst.
Benicio deserved a better everything around him. Salma was kinda interesting. Anyone in this thread could've directed this movie. And this movie really badly wants to be True Romance
and a Half or something. Stone tried to make a Tony Scott movie, and missed more times than he hit. I didn't hate it, though. It was worth watchin just to see Benicio hungry.
Except that ending. **** that ending.
