Am I the only one with sports movies that cannot get past bad sports scenes? If you're gonna do a sports movie, at least make the damn sports scenes look real and authentic.

I love sports, and I love movies, books and television, but sports movies, books and television tend to not appeal to me all that much. I feel like I need a line of separation between the two worlds.

the kiddy tricks in might ducks piss me off. the triple deke that starts at the blue line in mighty ducks pisses me off. gunnar staal's "triple deke, gloveside" shootout attempt where he dekes in the neutral zone, stops at the blue line, stares the goalie down for 3 seconds, and the takes a slap shot pisses me off. but i'll watch that movie every time regardless laugh.gif


i need to add varsity blues to my list btw

I tried to find a copy of He Got Game all over town, and came up with nothing.  30t6p3b

My mind has a long damn list of stuff I need to get to, and it's certainly on there.  I'm workin on it. 

Sugar just got added then.  Kev and Pro both speak for it, so I'll search for that as well. 



And agree 100000% about Friday Night Lights.  Simmons got me onto that, and I was hooked from the very first episode.  I was amazed at how much the backbone of the show was on the coach (and his wife) and yet it stayed perfect imo.  I would want my kid to play for that coach any damn day.   He was GREAT.
