I saw Gravity in 3d last night. Some really beautiful visuals and the 3d was on point. Some parts of the movie are a little cheesy and it cheapened the film (some stuff with clooney, the dialogue, etc), but overall it's a solid viewing. If could kinda get annoying however seeing as how it's one mishap after another and it even gets preachy at times. The potential was there, the execution was almost perfect but a couple of scenes detracted from the experience.

Quentin Tarantino's 10 favorite movies of 2013 so far (in alphabetical order):

Afternoon Delight (Jill Soloway)
Before Midnight (Richard Linklater)
Blue Jasmine (Woody Allen)
The Conjuring (James Wan)
Drinking Buddies (Joe Swanberg)
Frances Ha (Noah Baumbach)
Gravity (Alfonso Cuarón)
Kick *** 2 (Jeff Wadlow)
The Lone Ranger (Gore Verbinski)
This Is The End (Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg)

Would've liked if they came with an explanation so meh  Some of them make sense though.

Movie lovers need to download torch browser, one button download any streaming media u want .... So I watch all free movies

With movies like This Is The End and Lone Ranger on the list, definitely can't say QT is a movie snob. I tried to watch Drinking Buddies recently, but it bored me. Really slow and just mildly funny.

AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I finally found FXX on my cable

Some very good stuff on here. It looks like they have mini parks and recs marathons constantly. Sports nite a few times at night. Some arrested development. It's always sunny of course.

They really don't make movies, really good movies, like Dead Presidents anymore (and I mean in that vein).

On an unrelated note, totally want Amy Adams to jerk me off word to the The Master   :pimp:

The Office reruns (for me, through end of Season 3) are so enjoyable to rewatch.

Anybody here see the movie Savages a while back?

When I saw it in theaters I had never seen the preview and when the movie ended I was thinking it was the dumbest thing I had seen in a long time.

I had the chance to watch it again recently and if you ignore the ridiculous detail that two dudes supposedly share the same broad, and the corny narration by the female actress, the action and overall style of the movie was pretty cool.

I did like Savages, just hated the half *** double ending. But Benicio was great, and idea of it all was solid, just as you said, two dudes with one overrated broad, naw.

If you haven't seen "PRISONERS" .....Go See It.

Yes, it's disturbing. Yes, it makes you question alot of things. Yes, it's Intense & may only be suitable by one-time viewing for some... but that's part of what makes the Movie GREAT.

It's THAT Deep.

That movie made me hate Blake Lively with a passion. "They didn't have orgasms... they had wargasms" What the ****. Probably not even her fault, but I hate her eternally for that sole line.

I am a fan of Taylor Kitsch even though he's not a charismatic actor. He did alright in this film. Couldn't believe the partner with the long curly hair was the same kid from Kick-***. :wow:

Del Toro was the most intriguing. And Salma. :pimp: Still.

Demian Bichir from The Bridge has a bit part in this as one of the body guards. :nerd:

Yeah a lot of people seemed to hate the ending as it was sort of a "cop out".
I actually preferred it to end the way it did. I can't stand it when everyone dies in a movie cause I feel like it defeats the purpose of connecting with the characters

[/quote]Really? It's good like that? Because I was thinking "Disturbing? Keep talking. Thought provoking? I'M IN. Intense?! Ok, ok... wait, wait... isn't Prisoners that Arny & Sly flick? Because I wouldn't imagine any of what you just said would be true about that movie."
