Cult classics like Boondock Saints are usually hit or miss.

If you watch it before the hype gets really out of control, you'll probably like it.. but once everyone and their mother tells you how great this movie is, it'll disappoint.
 
Also, finally saw Before Midnight.. and it was just perfect, as expected. I wanted to immediately rewatch the first 2 just so I can appreciate these two characters even more.

I don't know which one was my favorite... I think I'd probably go with Before Sunset but I really need to see them again.

That's two weeks after Downton Abbey's premiere, though that show is currently already airing its fourth season overseas and is thus available on the Internet, should rabid fans seek it out. Seen the first episode (which is a 90 minute film, essentially). Seems like there's 3 in every season. Going to make sure I'm all caught up before it airs. Might be the next show I watch once I'm all caught up on Homeland.

Very very good show. I was late on it as well and got all caught up on Netflix. The idea of Cumberbatch as Sherlock threw me off, given what I've seen him in and the recent (recent to me) portrayals of Sherlock were RDJR and Jonny Lee Miller but he's very good with his take and the writing only allows him to further bring the story to life and make the show entertaining and interesting. The plots are far better than the norm.

I like their Moriarty but nothing is beating Dormer's Moriarty :evil: :smokin

Also that's apparently how them Brits get down. They structure seasons differently and most are much shorter if they're very high in concept.
 
^ I saw it last night. The movie was a bit convoluted & every character had a monologue about life & death & the effects of what they were doing. This is a good VOD or red box rental but I wouldn't waste money to see it in theaters. Disappointed a bit in Ridley Scott...

On another note, Colm Meaney always reminded me of Ridley Scott... :rolleyes They don't look alike, it's just they remind me of one another...

Finally got the Wes Anderson book from Amazon two weeks later. Looks so fun. And it is the size of a laptop at 330+ pages. Coffee table status. :smokin

Pitch your TV show to a network television station. The "Pilot" will be your triumphant moment, apparently.

The following shows that debuted this Fall, ALL have received less and less viewers with the advancing weeks.

Sleepy Hollow (even though it was renewed)
Lucky 7
The Blacklist
Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Hostages
Ironside (well, already cancelled)
Welcome To The Family (which had some really bad ratings).

The only one that has gone up from its previous week was Betrayal, a Sunday ABC drama starring Hannah Ware and Stuart Townsend, that somehow went from 2.88 million U.S. viewers in episode 3 to 3.51 million U.S. viewers in episode 4. When you put things into perspective though, that's hardly any viewers for a network show (especially on such a popular day for the TV industry like Sunday).
 
^^The Blacklist is a great show..I don't know how this show could be losing ratings..
 
I've heard that too, and I'm a big James Spader fan simply off the character he played briefly near the end of The Office, which was just brilliant.

The Blacklist's ratings are as follows:

Episode 1, Pilot: 12.58 million U.S. viewers.
Episode 2, The Freelancer: 11.35 million U.S. viewers.
Episode 3, Wujing: 11.18 million U.S. viewers.
Episode 4, The Stewmaker: 10.93 million U.S. viewers.
Episode 5, The Courier: 10.44 million U.S. viewers

First glance at those... Last week's 500,000 viewer decrease was the biggest decrease since Episode 1.

I knew Ironside was going to be canceled so I didn't bother. It had cancel written all over it :lol: I mean how did they think a remake of that show was gonna fly? Same goes for their upcoming Dracula joint.

Hostages as have been said elsewhere should've ended long ago. Had that been done by a better creator and pitched in England it would've been a great 6 ep mini series.

I'm not sure what Welcome to the Family even is.

Blacklist is really good. This could be a sign of the American audience preferring the Netflix way of watching tv. Networks may have to bank on having faith in a series that will be great and getting consistent millions of viewers in it's final seasons like with Breaking Bad.

Agents of Shield is just good with it's best ep so far being the last one but I can't really say it's been getting better with each ep. It got renewed based off it's crazy high ratings it's first ep.

Ben Affleck getting the green light to film in Africa.

Sounds like a story involving some mercs being brought in to take down some warlord. He's been asking for it for 3 years but they always said no. Then Argo happened, and now of course Bats.

So after that, we should see Ben's next directed film and far away from Boston. :pimp:
