Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Burn After Reading was great. Pitt and Clooney's characters are so random and weird. That chair Clooney built for his wife

Wolf of Wall St is probably not gonna be a major contender at the Oscars this year. MAybe it will cop some at the golden globes cause they have a separate comedy/musical section.

I think a lot of NTers are gonna be hurt when Leo doesn't get a nomination

Fargo, Big Lebowski, Burn After Reading...didn't like them.

Only one I haven't seen that I want to is Raising Arizona

If you didn't like any of those other movies you mentioned, I have my doubts Raising Arizona will do much for you. But you might as well check it out, since it was the movie that really put the Coens on the map.

Watching jingle all the way on Netflix

I'd take the day off to watch it if I were you.

And Pitt in Troy was fine, but to me Bana was even better in Troy.
will check it out. thanks.

I agree. I watched Troy not that long ago and thought Bana was superb. Not all-time greatest performances, but definitely the standout performance of that film.

Also, venom you don't like The Big Lebowski? I don't think I've ever met anyone that dislikes it.

Bana was great no question.

But I really like the character Achilles. His whole persona and I think Pitt played it very well.

I thought it was funny but nowhere near as good as I heard it was.

Saw I caught Catching Fire today. Passed on Gravity and the Anchorman double feature.

Yall should've just told me Phillip Seymour Hoffman and ******g Narcisse were in it. I would've watched despite not caring for the story much  :smokin

I gotta admit JLa was looking fine as **** in that dress. Mad smashable. I've boiled it down to her face shape not having strong bone structure and all as to why I'm not that attracted to her. Sometimes she just be looking weird

Movie was entertaining but I felt the same way or perhaps even more so when I watched Kill Bill vol. 1 knowing there was a vol. 2. It wasn't Twilight status but reading the synopsis on the books lets you know you might as well watch both at the same time.

Wouldn't be surprised if Anchorman 2 sucks. Trailer doesn't look that good and I don't want to hear a bunch of black jokes either. I love Megan Good but don't want to see her and predictable scenes with Ron.

Wait, did Prisoners really ******g end like that?!?!?! What the ****????

I'm getting ready to say this movie is easily one of the best films this year and then it does that!?

I'm pretty pleased Anchorman 2 is at 79% right now on Rotten Tomatoes.

Sequels are tricky for comedies... repeat the exact same formula and jokes as the first and it can feel stale and repetitive. But then if you change up what made the first one work, you're going to alienate the fanbase.

Give me some great quotes, memorable scenes, and what I expect from that crew and I'll be happy.

Gonna watch Don Jon tonight..

and finally get to watch The Spectacular Now :pimp:

Chick flick or not, I've been wanting to see it since August

Yeah without looking deep in to what that ending means, it's a pretty weak ending but even that has a meaning so it all fits but I can get just not liking it.

The thing with me is the story just wasn't that gripping in the middle of it all. So although I didn't predict the twist the overall story doesn't have much to it looking back. I still kinda feel they just really spruced up a SVU plot. Acting was really good though.

I liked the movie and the ending kind of leads you to figure out what happens. I watched a 2.5 hour movie and they couldn't squeeze five more minutes to end it properly? I thought my PS3 controller died when the screen went black
