Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Just watched Zodiac :wow:
David Fincher has to be my second favorite director. This dude is on-point with every movie he makes. I need to watch the CCoBB and The Social Network.

Oh and when they're drinking Blue Velvas and Crystal Blue Persuasion is playing in the background :pimp:

Oh yeah, Anna Kendrick can get it  She was just on Conan.

At the very end when the band performed she did this little dance move, made it move. Then she did some other facial expression like a sad/upset face. Wish there were gifs of it. Real cool chick.

what did you guys think of oblivion? saw it yesterday. i enjoyed it.
I enjoyed it as well. Nothing spectacular but good. I was expecting a totally different twist so it was nice it was something else that was still interesting.

I do feel that they short changed the potential of that twist and what happened but at the same time they probably got to that conclusion in that fashion cuz they didn't want to **** it up story wise.

In many ways it reminded me of a Twilight Zone ep, and I love that.

Who's #1?

My favorite Fincher film has to be Curious Case, I'd get on that ASAP.

The Social Network was also very good though.

Have they abandoned the rest of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy? :nerd:

Starting Captain Phillips.

After reading about what a d bag the real Capt Phillips is, I kinda don't really care to finish it.

Might go back to starting season 3 of The Killing, maybe even start True Detective. Who knows.

Curious Case is my favorite movie for a slew of reasons. That scene with the ship captain displaying his tattoos and how he's an artist really inspired me to go full throttle as a writer. Love the use of the hummingbird throughout the film. Some good symbolism very well done.

The Founselor has gotten meh reviews in here Hymen. Seems like it's worth the watch if your horny for Cameron Diaz.

Just finished episode1 of season2 of The Wire.

A whole new cast of characters threw me off, but that ending in the cargo had me

.
The pile of dead female bodies.
I'm interested in whether or not he Dock crew ties into Stringer and company.
DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR AND STOP POSTING ABOUT THE WIRE.

SOMEONE WILL SPOIL SOMETHING FOR YOU.

I GUARANTEE IT.

I remember seeing Zodiac in theaters. I was on the edge of my seat. That whole story was intriguing as hell to me. I ended up watching a 2 hr documentary about it as well.

Speaking of the girl with the dragon tattoo on the last page has the trilogy been abandoned? :nerd:

A story started making the rounds yesterday via the Daily Mail quoting The Wolf of Wall Street producers Joey McFarland and Riza Aziz, founders of Red Granite Pictures, saying Martin Scorsese's much-talked-about four hour director's cut of the film would find its way onto the Blu-ray once released. The story sounded a little fishy to me so before posting I reached out to representatives for Paramount Home Entertainment and received the following reply:

Red Granite Pictures has confirmed that there is not a director's cut version of the film for home entertainment and the film will be released as seen in theaters.

There still isn't a release date for the DVD and Blu-ray release, but once it's announced don't expect anything more than the 180-minute theatrical cut. Sorry.
