Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Yeah, there are a lot of smaller movies I'm kinda looking forward to.

Midnight Special -- new movie by Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter, Mud). He says it's sci-fi. Michael Shannon and Joel Edgerton are in it. I'm there.

Imperial Dreams -- stars Keke Palmer and John Boyega (Attack the Block). Read outta Sundance that he kills it. Sounds out of the Fruitvale mold.

Whiplash -- Miles Teller and JK Simmons about a young drummer and a psycho teacher.

Blue Ruin -- Vengeance.

Boyhood -- Richard Linklater (Dazed and Confused, the Before movies), Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette shot pieces of this film every year for the last 12 years. I don't need to know anymore than that.

Got damnit!

Hollywood gets so much of my damn money, but These movies look good. Few things

1. Samuel L as a serial killer:smokin

2. Matt Dillon getting work, I like it. He's weird to me, not a great actor, but I always like him on screen...oxymoron of actors.

3. Nicki Parker :pimp:evil

4. True Detective has spoiled me with it's length, I'm a huge "miniseries" fan.

I'm excited.

Blue Ruin looks crazy dope, Imma check out the trailers of the other movies you posted.

Have tomorrow off and really want to see The Grand Budapest. Deal is only one theater is playing it and it's in Dallas. Fandango is saying that they will be playing it but their website says otherwise. Going to have to call em the morning I guess.

Yeah, it's limited release so I don't even bother checking for my area... they never have it.

Is this any good? How come nobody has mentioned it in regards to Leto's work?

Feels like 1 part Spotless Mind other parts a few other movies that escape me.

bout to start Hunger

after seeing 12 Years a Slave, I'm interested to see what else McQueen has to offer.

Not sure I want to see Shame tho

Saw 300: Rise of an Empire. I liked it. Warning, don't go into this like it was 300, different director, you could def tell. He went a different direction and it worked. Eva green is bad as hell. A third one would close out the story, I'm only going to see it if Snyder directs though.

I'm blown Grand Budapest isn't playing anywhere around me until March 21st.

Just watched Dallas Buyers Club for the second time. Enjoyed it just as much.
Did anyone else catch that aventador poster in the background?

Joe should be good. Nicolas need to do another good movie....its been a while

I feel like this film is a close to a carbon copy of Mud.

Also David Gordon Green will forever be in my doghouse for making Prince Avalanche. One of the worst films I've ever seen at a film festival

I thought I had Children Of Men & Babel on blu ray but I didn't so I ordered them online.

Looking forward to watching NBC's Believe Monday which is produced by JJ Abrams & directed by Cuaron... That's a heck of a creative combo of dudes working on a show...

JJ's Almost Human on Fox wasn't too bad as far as a network show goes. My wife even liked it a bit. I respect his grind. He tries to put out quality ish...

It's been 15 years since Stanley Kubrick passed away at the age 70. Here's a great tribute vid of his work. I love the soundtrack.

Another Ejiofor flick co-starring Thandie Newton, Dominic Cooper, & John Boyega (from Attack The Block). Coming out this spring. Takes place between 1967-1970 during the Nigerian-Biafran war.

I'm still mad at JJ Abrams for the lost finale...
He had nothing to do with that. From what I remember JJ helped produce the show in the early seasons and then dipped like right before the strike. He's just there in name cuz he backed the show with his money. He had nothing to do with how the story ended.
