Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Season 2 of FNL suffered terribly from the writer's strike.

Push through the weak parts because the rest of the series is incredible.

I still have a soft spot for season 1, it's probably my favorite.

Ohh writers strike.

That makes sense cuz the show def fell off for season 2. Almost didn't make it thru. I'll take ur word for it n tough it out tho.

Speaking of falling off. That boondocks episode was just ehh

watched The Way, Way Back and Kings of Summer last night.
both were good. im a big fan of 'summer' movies tho so i might be biased. KoS had that Goonies feel. for the new kids to watch and stuff.

The Spectacular Now starring Shailene Woodley & Miles Teller was a good coming of age flick also...

I'm really stoked about seeing Teller in Whiplash. Heard lots of great things about the flick. Looking forward to seeing a trailer for it come out soon. He's rumored to be playing John Belushi in a bio pic too...

any big popcorn flicks coming out in IMAX this year?

Chris Nolan has Interstellar coming out this year. Off his track record...gotta assume it's an IMAX thing and have dope visuals.

Godzilla doesn't look bad, and off the director's first movie Monsters...it should be a really good looking movie. Dawn of the Apes and Hungers Games 3 are musts in theaters for me. If you'd be willing to for an animated flick...I gotta feeling like How to Train Your Dragon 2 is gonna be the most worth it of any animated thing in a long while. And I really didn't expect to like Desolation of Smaug as much as I did, so I'm probably checking for Hobbit 3 whenever that rolls by.

Oh, and I was really hoping they'd show something worth running out to for Noah. :smh: The Fountain was one of the most gorgeous poetry writ large films I've seen in a theater, and the score is one of the best ever imo. So I figured...same director, same composer, a big budget to go all out? :smokin ....But man those commercials looked dry and awkward, and even with the backlash I never heard that it'd come through there.

The Spectacular Now was top 5 films of 2013.

Teller IS playing Belushi, not a rumor

I couldn't make it past 15 mins of The Fountain, and I was really looking forward to watching it

Miles Teller, Elizabeth Olsen, and Michael B. Jordan are the future. :pimp:

I was disappointed with Michael B & Teller doing fluff like Awkward Moment. I was hoping they'd pick better work in the hopes of building a great career. I'm not enthused about the Fantastic Four reboot either.

You gotta respect someone like Jonah Hill & how he's working on his grind. He's taking some roles in some solid flicks for less money which should pay out in the end.

Maybe Hill is forced to because he doesn't have the "matinee good looks". I've always said that if you've got talent, worry less about making money & more on your craft & in the end you'll make money doing quality work.

I love that Hill, on his own, reached out to Miller to take a dramatic role, and since then has signed on to do more.

I think Hill genuinely wants to be a diverse actor and didn't want to get boxed into the fat guy funny role because of Super Bad.

Have to respect that

Trying to decide out of
Ender's Game
Kick *** 2
X-Men Origins

Think I'm going go with X-Men or Ender's game

People knocked Kick-*** 2 cuz it wasn't as great as the og, but it's still pretty good. Worth the watch.

Wolverine ain't ****. You could watch for the lulz. And Ender's Game is okay, but kinda bland and predictable.
