Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

lol Rck's antics just set the standard of this movie thread from here on forth being on a scale from 1-8

^skippable, if your a fan of pron (being serious) and care about James Deen's first non-pron gig he did as well as Dave Franco cuz Lohan is not carrying that movie. story isn't so well done

Mud was pretty good. Subplot was a bit of a strained love story while the main plot was one of those learning about females/growing pains for a youth stories. Might not be for everybody given the time spent learning from other ppl about Mud and the getting parts for the boat stuff but if you understand it's the type of movie I said it is you'll enjoy.

Talked about Don Jon a few pgs back. I liked it. Funny and engaging. Kinda flounders with the ending but overall I'd say it's worth a watch.

Don't really know what to make of don jon.. Not a bad movie.. But just something missing

But man Julianne Moore is showing her age

just finished prisoners. ending was ok. expected a bigger twist. cliffhanger ending didnt work for that type of movie. performances were great throughout.

Anyone wanna recommend me a good comedy along the lines of:

-This is the End

-Neighbors

-21 Jump Street

Just to name a few. Just looking for a simple comedy with that type of humor. If it's fairly popular, chances are I've probably seen it

Forgot to mention I saw Drinking Buddies a few days ago. Man at first I was like the ****? Thought this was going to be a comedy but I adjusted shortly after and I enjoyed it. I will say it did frustrate me though. This treacherous ***** Anna Kendrick cheats on my boy Nick (and I gotta say the Office Space dude Ron something was spot on for that role) and takes the very end to confess and there's no real resolution. This was just like some everyday real life **** and life just went on. I can kinda appreciate them hinting it going one way and it not going that way, basically saying hey that's how life is sometimes a boy and girl can be best friends and secretly want something more but the boy is too dumb or stuck in a situation to make a move and ends up getting in to a loveless marriage but still I wanted him to at least bang Olivia Wilde behind her back. Just frustrating but it was pretty good.

There's parts when they even have the look on their faces that they should be together. I dunno man it just ends with them reconciling as friends and that's it. I'm guessing (cuz I don't know and aint gonna look it up) but I bet Pete from The League wrote this story. I notice a lot of stuff he writes or directs that he's also in flow just like this.

Yeah to me it's how it ends. The whole 3rd act is missing something that fully says THIS IS THE POINT OF THE STORY. Never came.

Drinking buddies is another movie that felt like it was missing something.. Loved the chemistry between the two main characters.. And a lot of that did feel real..

But it just felt like it was missing something..and if they were going with the "realistic" approach you know their significant others wouldn't be down with that friendship.. And/or something would have gone down especially considering the amount of alcohol involved

Yea. That's what I got from Drinking Buddies., very anticlimactic. They should have cheated, would have been less of a 'friendship movie' and more of an 'finding love' movie. Real world, they would have slept together.

People love Drinking Buddies. All the awkwardness and not knowing where the two people end up. I was bored with it.

Saw Spider-Man 2. I'm tired of the whole comic book movies, they're all the same to me. Not great but not bad. I need an R rated comic book film.

Will see Godzilla next week

Is there... ANY reason... to see Her?

Literally has no appeal to me, but for some reason, I feel like I'll be missing something if I never see it.

Someone confirm either "Nah, dude, trust your first instincts" or "Yes. Yes there is a reason. Go see it. Solid 6 out of 8. If it were an apple, it would be the iPhone 6," please.

My dude keeps bugging me to check out Her... he really seemed to like it, plus I love all this Joaquin so I will most likely give it a watch ASAP.

Her is very interesting, especially given this age of technology.

See it once, won't need to see again after that. Worth the 1 watch.

Her is a good movie but it's depressing to me. I felt miserable for an entire day after watching it :smh:

Well, damb.

Nah, Phoenix. Hard enough keeping depression away as it is, without Her.

If you do watch it'll be for the acting and the feels. It's like Ruby Sparks but no real girl and in the future.
