I knew the answers to the questions, more rhetorical comment on bad writing.

They could have passed a camera while they were in the restricted zone.

They should have came up with a better reason for him even being in Japan, maybe he comes home for leave, then has to go to Japan for some random mission, then he gets the call about his dad. Him going all the way to Japan because his dad caught a trespass charge seemed far fetched, they clearly just let his dad go and his son was not really needed for it.

She should have kept her son her, you can see her taking care of their son, more family time on screen.

Cut random kid out...completely pointless. Double down on him helping that soldier that went with him, so more shots of his actual son...showing his heart could be done in a bunch of ways.

I guess there really is no other way to put him in harms way...Ford being around the monster made sense...just seemed a little, idk shallow, but there wasn't any other way.

I didn't even go in on the dialogue:

Cranston said 'I know what's going on, you have no idea' he didn't know what was going on at that point.

When Cranston gets in his car with his wife, she tells him Ford made a card and they'll get cake later, later in the same scene he acts surprised it was his birthday.

That whole watch back and forth was poorly timed...they didn't do a good job alluding to how dropping the bomb IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWWHERE was relatable to Hiroshima, I picked up in it, but it was done poorly.

The writing wasn't very good, but I think the directing made up for it.

Casting News!

Fresh off playing Falcon, Anthony Mackie is back in to play Jimi Hendrix. Originally planned and announced a few years ago, plans fell through to have the 8 Mile star play the legendary rocker after the Hendrix estate wouldn’t sign off. We’ll they are good to go now in a film that chronicles the last nine days of Hendrix’s life.

Thandie Newton is on board to play Hendrix’s wife, with Noomi Rapace eyed to play his ex-girlfriend, Kathy Etchingham. The project is currently being shopped at Cannes.
----------------------

Emilia Clarke and Nicholas Hoult are the latest to play Bonnie and Clyde. Rolls that have been done 100x over, the two will star in Go Down Together. The movie is “a revisionist take on the legend of Clyde Barrow and femme fatale Bonnie Parker, young lovers who left at least seven bodies in their wake as they robbed banks throughout the Depression-era South.” The film is based on the book by Jeff Guinn and will be directed by Michael Sucsy.

-----------------------
This is exciting…

Robert De Niro is going to rob a bank. Again. And he’ll be dealing with a casino, again.

De Niro will star in Bus 757, the film follows a casino card dealer who puts together a crew to simultaneously rob a bank and hijack a bus full of hostages to use as collateral. De Niro will play “The Pope”, a casino owner with illegitimate business practices whose assets are the targets of the heist.

Filming starts in September with Scott Mann directing.
--------------------------
Aubrey Plaza has joined The Driftless Area with an awesome cast consisting of Anton Yelchin, Zooey Deschanel, John Hawkes and Frank Langella. The story follows the young love between a bartender and a mysterious woman. Their relationship is threatened after the bartender, Pierre, gets mixed up with a dangerous crook and his bag of stolen cash.

Guess I was the only one that didn't like Godzilla.

2 hour movie and about ten minutes of Godzilla on screen.

He faces his opponent, then they cut to the next day?

Then they have a two second fight, cut to another scene.

Final showdown was cool but that was a 2-3 minute scene

I just expected more. Thought the acting wasnt good at all. Way too much "plot and attempts of a story" Godzilla looked good. The villain was in it way more than he was. I'm sure I'll get killed in here for it but oh well. Checking out Neighbors tomorrow

You can look for my top 10 films from 2013 if you like, it's probably 40-50 pages back. I'm not impressed with a two hour Godzilla film with only ten minutes of Godzilla on film. Are you the guy that said it was a 14 out of 10?

Fast and Furious is my favorite series of all time so that's like seven films alone

2F2F is easily the worst in that series but it might be the funniest. Such a bad movie that I love it. Tokyo Drift is actually good. Much better than I expected.

Well then, you are alright in my book. :pimp:

Greatest series going right now, and it's not even close. People just don't know how great this franchise has gotten.

Legendary cinematographer Gordon Willis has died.

The Godfather
Godfather Part II
Annie Hall
Zelig
Manhattan

just to name a few

GREAT interview.

It might have gone unnoticed, and I know most people probably can't name too many cinematographers, but yeah.. Gordon Willis died and he was awesome.
