Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Well yeah...if FF hits you right, it hits you right. Like for me, I love that og cast together, and then suddenly they brought in dudes from the other ones and made them legit too. It's just a crew I wanna watch steal things, kick *** and tell corny jokes together in movies.

Not only that, the fact they are viewed as the "bad guys" yet are really the good guys.

Good guys that got their start stealing DVD players and hijacking semi's, but still.

They basically take on "the man" of each film, and put a stop to what they are doing, in the name of their family.

That's why I'm not sure yet if 6 is truly lesser than Five. I hear your point on the music, and Don and Omar, and agree, but Shaw was a tremendous villain. I mean, really, really good. Even moreso than Butcho in Five. The whole code speech, and what it ended up meaning >>>>>>

It was good to see Vince in 5 tho, I admit that. I thought he helped bring something from the og, still callin Paul a buster and what not.

We've been robbed tho man. 7 is going to be great, but there's going to be something missing and we all know what it is. And the feels....... :smh:

I find the entire F&F series to be a giant comedy. All I do is laugh. Me and a few of my friends can quote every movie for days. Some of the cars are great, the races are good. The 4th one is very underrated. That's when they kind of took a more serious turn and sort of stepped away from the "car" theme.

1>4>5>6>3>2

No idea how people don't like these movies. I'm a have to watch 4 or 5 now :smh:

I think I'm at

6>5>1>4>3>2

And I know there are plenty that have it

5>6>1>4>3>2 which is fine. I just like 6 a little bit better cuz of Shaw, and the upgrade in action, Carano, and Ja.

Basically, everyone agrees that 2 is last, and 3 is nearby even if a little underrated. The full cast movies are the 4 that get the most love, for good reason.

FF.... 5>1>6>4>3>2

and BB seasons 4 and 5...there are gonna be a lot of times when you have to pause it and walk around the room.

The show was only pretty great by the end of season 3. Then...that **** ascended.

You don't even know yet. :smh: Lucky ************.

Just saw Godzilla.

What a big pile of mediocre crap. Such a lack of fluidity, the characters do not matter, at all.

Aside from a few cool moments, it's really just short of garbage.

Full review soon

Someone recommend me a movie to watch tonight before bed. Preferably a comedy,  I've been kind of down lately. Something fairly recent as well.

FF.... 5>1>6>4>3>2

Correct. I kind of want to switch 2 and 3 just because 2 has Walker.. but literally everything about that movie is bad  At least Tokyo Drift had great cars and driving.

Fast Five's only downside was not enough Vince. But even having Vince return was insanely awesome. Fast Five is legitimately a great action-comedy. Then throw in the nostalgia of having all these people back together, adding The Rock, the soundtrack, THIS IS BRAZIL! it was just the perfect storm.

It all starts with 1, though. The definition of a cable classic... the kind of movie that you watch once.. then again.. then a dozen more times until you know it backwards and forwards. But in comparison to the 5th one, it's like night and day. The first one is point break with cars and it feels like it's from 2001.. but Fast Five is a modern big-budget blockbuster movie and hits all the marks it should.

Ummm so I'm watching the Robocop remake.....

What the **** did they do to this franchise?

I would be tempted to turn this off if not for my slight man crush on Joel Kinnamen

F&F is money. I like that the series grew and they didn't just churn out the same movie year after year even tho they easily could have.

I liked the Robocop remake quite a bit.

Truthfully the first ones weren't that great.
Finished it...... it really really needed that R rating.

It just didn't have quite the same vibe and feel that the OG Robocop had without the violence, gruesomeness, blood/gore.

Plus the 80s Robocop was able to pull off that cheesiness and political satire, for some reason the remake just fumbled those two elements.

All in all, I would say I didn't mind sitting thru it and enjoyed the performances by the high caliber cast highlighted by Kinnamen, Oldman, Keaton, and Omar from The Wire (wish he had more screentime).....

On my scale of 1-8, I give it a very average 3.5

And if it was a Gatorade flavor..... its a very mild Gatorade Frost Riptide Rush; I'll drink it but its not touching any of the Gatorade Fierce flavors.

Whether I agree or disagree I usually love your preamble reviews before your official ones  Like a disclaimer, this is what you're about to be in store for, you have been warned.

LMAO yes...

tread lightly.

I just feel like I owe it to yall to give a small sample...plus it's also always my basis for a full review as I expound on every thought. But yes...it was so lackluster for me
