Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

It isn't earth shattering, but a lot of good has been done. X-Men in 3D is pretty nice, I think people will feel better than we all thought initially.

Like 5.734/8.0 rounded up.

Good **** man, the flick has caught tons of flack based on just a few trailers; I'm glad to hear its not terrible and actually has some good qualities.

I've been hearing quicksilver is one of the best parts of dofp if that's true I'm gonna take back all my jokes about him I should have known evan peters would do well after 3 seasons of ahs

I'm a little surprised DOFP is at 93% right now on RT. It'll drop a bit, I'm sure, and RT isn't a guarantee of anything.. but yeah.. good sign to me.

I really want to sneak out and see it before I work on Friday night... I'd like to actually be involved in the discussion of a new release movie.. rather than wait until a week and a half later when I see it

He`s said that a couple times. I actually admire it. He`s got a lot more willpower than I do.
same here, I usually last 3-4 weeks tops and then one night I'll just binge out with friends

Peep the conjuring if you haven't already. Def. one of the scariest movies in recent memory.
THIS but I will say one reason the conjuring did better many other horror movies was the marketing not in a sense of More Promotion but "Better" promotion instead of a trailer they just put out that clapping scene that's what I want in more of my horror movies

Not sure about that the rating have been out for almost 2 weeks it started at 91% but went "Up" to 93

Yeah, it's possible.. but I just assumed once it got several dozen more reviews it'll drop.

I'll literally go to a movie by myself if my wife can't make it. I do not care, I'll sit by myself and be just fine, long as I get to see my movie.

Especially when there's going to be heavy discussion.

no offense, but you're old so its kind of not out of the ordinary

I go to the movies by myself all the time.

Started in college, I had a reliable friend who would be down to see anything (and FSU had a cool movie theater on campus that would show sneak previews, classic movies, and movies in between the theater and DVD/Blu-Ray release) Then he transferred and then I had a roommate/friend who loved movies as much as I did, but would be so lazy that we'd never get around to seeing the movie. Or I'd have to basically drag him to the theater

Most of my friends were unreliable or we drifted apart so I just started going by myself. Not to mention the AMC up there had an awesome matinee pricing. Five dollars for showings before 5pm during the week.. and before noon on the weekends. And they'd usually have at least one showing at like 11:30.

And I still do it. The only time it felt a little awkward was during some movie I sat in an aisle with two other guys in it. One was a 70 year old man by himself.. then a few seats down was a middle aged guy by himself... then there was me. And I thought "Hmm.. it's like looking into the future"

I'd rather see it with my brothers but getting our schedules to match up is hard.. and still have unreliable friends.. so I just go alone. It's probably less fun without company, but it's kind of more relaxing.

Getting stoned and going to the theatre solo is one of the greatest things in life.

Especially if its a really introspective film like Her.

Which I just finished watching again, that movie is amazing.

Man.. I BEEN going to movies by myself..

If something is showing that I'm eager to see, then I'm there.. If my dad is interested in seeing something I'll go with him.. Or if something my girl is into I'll go with her

Also I pick random times to go so there is no crowd

But I don't see how dude's go to the movies with other dude's.. Just not the setting that I want to be hanging out with my boys..

.

One of the worst decisions in my life was blazing before going to see the exorcist.. They had rereleased it and couple of my buddies in boarding school thought it would be a bright idea

The scene when she came down the stairs.. Good lord I couldn't sleep for the rest of the year

Ate half a weed brownie and went to go see the Lego Movie by myself earlier this year on a Tuesday at a matinee showing. I was the only adult there without a child with me but I've probably never laughed so hard in 2 hours.

What's wrong with going to see a movie with your homies? It's not like we're going to see The Notebook together. I'm sure when most dudes go with their boys its for either a big action or comedy film.

would rather go by myself then go with a bunch of my boys.. One or two of my boys, cool.. But I wouldnt make some sort of group plan with the whole crew

With most movies when I go I actually want to see the movie and be left alone

But you gotta follow the 1 seat rule like pissing in urinals.. If available gotta have that room

I actually liked the second a lot better than the first.

Yeah I check out conjuring and was scariest movies I seen in a while.

I want to check out Oculus and Afflicted

Going to the movies alone is the best way to go. I hate going to the movies with people or with people in the theater.

I despise humans. They have no movie theater etiquette.

Going to the movies alone is one of my favorite all time activities. No one to bother you, no one looking at their phone, talking etc. IDC what anyone thinks.

Frankly going to a movie with someone and the argument for it is absurd. You don't go to a film to talk to the person the whole time so why need someone sitting next to you? Talk to them after...text...call etc.

I went to a movie by myself for the first time last month to see Captain America.

I'll be doing it a lot more since I don't know anyone in my area besides my relatives. :frown:
