My wife & I would like to see Fault in our Stars. Shailene Woodley is doing some nice work; The Decedents, The Spectacular Now, & now this...

Boyd crowder is an amazing character. But I think in some ways Raylan is the harder roll to play. The subtle mannerisms and facial expressions olyphant uses impress me. The elation ship between Arlo and be of tem is fascinating.

When I was watching season 1 I thought it was just going to be a serialized marshall show since there were several one and done type episodes. But they ditched that and made everything connect. Season long dramas. Series long infact. It's awesome. Underrated show.

Also finished the 3rd season of venture bros. adult swim is on another level.

You'll love Season 4. I think each season gets better. Five is probably my favorite so far. So glad his wife picked The Following over sticking around as a major character on Justified.

I really can't think of an FX show that failed to keep me interested until the end.

BTW, I'd suggest reading The Fault In Our Stars. The movie was solid but I enjoyed the book so much more.

 You're not one of those will smith stans are you Master Zik Master Zik ?!?! JK...

Woodley hasn't shown range as an actor but she does a solid job of staying in her lane IMO. I haven't seen that sci-fi flick she did, not really interested to see it either.

 Wait what does Will Smith have to do with her?

I like Will Smith as an actor and some of his movies but I'm def no stan. If you followed the last Will Smith movie talk in this thread that'd be clear.

I just don't care for Woodley, her acting, or most of her movies so far. That's all I'm saying.

It was a poor attempt to make a joke of the recent discussion about will smith & how you can like his flicks & not Woodley's. I didn't articulate it enough. :smh: Fail on my part...

To each his own though... Cheers...

My son's best friend is leaving for vacation this weekend through next weekend. Going to try & catch up on some summer block buster matinees with my little buddy next week... Can't wait to raid the candy isle at 5 & Below (much better now than 7/11) & still get some buttered pop corn @ the theater... Have to wear my cargo shorts to sneak in everything though... That's our movie going ritual...

Damn, I'm not the only one then. My daughter and I hit up the little Center Market before we head to the theater with all kinds of cheap little candies rather than pay 9 dollars for licorice.

Same sneak in method too, some form of baggy clothing I can pocket everything in casually, then just order a soda and some nachos and we're set. :smokin

5 & Below have candies 10 for $1... I get Bit O Honey's, Peanut Chews, & $1 box of Raisinettes (same size as the theater) .

My son gets Twizzlers, some kind of Haribo gummy product, & some kind of chocolate.

Then we each get a can of the tall Arizona teas/juice.

It's laughable that I get through to the theater with my pockets "swoll".

Once we get settled, then I go get the pop corn. If my wife comes with us, she helps out carrying the stuff in her purse.

Ahhh good times... :smokin

I'm thinkin of orderin a pizza one of these days. Lil deep dish Pizza Hut or somethin, some breadsticks maybe.

"yeah, uh, can I get that delivered to theater 9, row 8, seat 5? Thanks"

If you have a 5 & Below nearby, you have to check out their candy isle. It's the best. They have a bunch of Asian candies too but sadly they don't have those Japanese kit kats (green tea, orange creme, strawberry)...

Just a couple of weeks ago I saw a dude bring in a steak sub, big bag of fries, & a soda... Son had the nerve to break out Sriracha for his sub & fries too... This little bottle. I noticed it because I could smell the Sriracha the minute he started squeezing it out... I was

Oh okay

Fail but I see it.

Hard not to like an Ali or MiB or Bad Boys though.

Yeah I've seen plenty of flasks, smelled plenty of alcohol, & seen plenty of those new fangled bowls people use to smoke herb...

Fixed.

Not even sure how we got it in, but one time my wife, her friend and I brought Panda Express into a movie. Almost got us kicked out because people apparently complained. I guess people don't think the smell of orange chicken goes too well with popcorn...

The AMC I went to in college used to be the GOAT. They didn't have a rule against outside food or beverages.. or at least they didn't care. I realized this when I snuck in a large lemonade from Chik Fil A and in front of me two people just walked right in with drinks and Chik Fil A bags in hand  I was :wow: that they didn't say anything. Between that and 5 dollar all day matinee prices Monday-Thursday it was a great time

They cracked down on that and changed around their matinee schedule, but it was still awesome. 5 minutes from my house, would always hit it up for a Friday matinee on new releases :pimp:

And probably my favorite part of going to the movies with my mom would be her dumping her purse in the car and we'd fill it with candy and sodas  Now I'm usually good with a box of Sour Patch Kids and probably Peanut Butter M&Ms. I was never a huge fan of movie popcorn for whatever reason.. I like it but I don't HAVE to get it. Movie nachos on another hand :pimp: that was my jam.

So I'm five minutes into Blow and the only thing I can think of is GOODFELLAS in terms of the story telling and some shots.

I worked at a movie theater when I was a teenager and I and other kids never cared about people bringing in food as long as the manager wasn't out and about. I'd see people bring in buckets of fried chicken or a box of pizza and I would just give them a thumbs up and ask them to try not to make a mess.
