Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I know I'm just gonna be adding more shows to my must watch list but what is Utopia about.

Same goes for a suggestion/description of The Returned.

Bro, you haven't seen Utopia man? Dude you are straight missing out. For real for real.

Go on IMDB app on the phone or online. I wouldn't do it justice by trying to explain it, at all.

But long story short a group of people (kids adults geeks etc) that are computer heads are all in search of a super secret manual because they think its just a comic. One of them finds it and they stage a meetup to all check it out together. Come to find out there is already a bounty started for it as they are meeting because it turns out it is much much more than just a comic, and as they become aware of this while on the run for the life, the story begins to unfold

Dope Dope Dope man

I personally just finished The Returned about a month ago and loved it. Quick plot is a small town located up in the mountains has people that were dead return back home one day. Because it's such a small town the show really sets up some clever stories that intertwine with other towns people kind of like Lost. If anyone can get past that it's French with subtitles I'd highly recommend it .

Utopia is also being adapted by David Fincher for HBO.  The title might change as there is a show starting on Fox with the name

Out of all the shows I've watched though, I'm def most excited for Utopia season 2, Fall season 2 and even Love/Hate series finales. Love/Hate has been dope so far. It's Irish tele I think.
I liked Utopia, didn't know there was a s2 coming

Have you watched Top Boy?  I started Love/Hate but those Irish accents were soooo thick that it was hard for me to follow

i love a quick 6-8 ep British series

Man I could give you a list of shows that I guarantee you haven't seen, that are much better than a lot of TV you already think is dope.

I started Top Boy put then put it down for Love/Hate and forgot about it until you just mentioned it again. I for sure watch my Euro UK Irish type shows with the CC on, got so used to captions I watch American tele the same way now.

i've had all the eps for a few weeks but have been watching trash that i'm trying to see through to the end instead

I'll be adding Utopia and The Returned (I know this is on netflix) to the list.

Yeah, main reason I asked cuz the one for FOX doesn't seem like it's good but a reality show knockoff of survivor.

Ok, I recall somebody posting how The Leftovers was biting off this a bit. Hope it's better than that.

Son Foxcatcher looks so legit, excited for that one.

Zik, you watch Masters of Sex right? You recommend it? Is it a slow burn?

Nah not a slowburn. It's really good. 2nd seasons tarting up soon.

They get right in to it. About documenting sex and orgasms, with some pretty good character focuses. I'd say a bit like Mad Men cuz of time period it's set in but it's own thing for sure.

Lizzy and Sheen do their thing. I'd definitely recommend it.

Yeah I searched the thread and saw you posted in there, but the thread was dead itself. Figured I'd ask in here. Been a Lizzy fan since Party Down, so I'll def. give it a look. I finished Ray Donovan which I love, so this is another show i'll have for the Summer :pimp:

12-Life on Mars

3-Broadchurch

13-Hustle

4-Luther

7-Top of the Lake

1-Peaky Blinders (my favorite on the list) Cillian Murphy is that dude man

9-The Bridge (foreign version)

10-The Hour

11-Fresh Meat (Uk Version)

2-Rome (best period show I've seen yet)

5-The Tudors (Henry 8th)

6-Lillyhammer

8-UnderBelly (each season is a different Gangster) dope dope show ONLY through first season (highly recommend)

After I listed them randomly I ranked them in the order I thought best. Your sleeping on that Peaky Blinders yall, season 2 this Fall

ok just finished the first ep of Peaky Blinders...  the new girl working in the bar is
pimp.gif

the little twist there was very similar to one in Boardwalk Empire, loved the scene with Tommy, Danny and the italians

I think I need to limit the number of tv shows i'll follow this summer. I watch too many throughout the year already. Will keep up with new Ray Donovan, Tyrant, and maybe The Leftovers if it gets better. Might check out Masters of Sex too.

Excited for Foxcatcher.

Annoys me to no end to see these new garbage NBC shows being put out and Community got the boot :smh: . Hoping the move to Yahoo benefits the show.

Just finished Never Let Me Go (2010) starring Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield and Keira Knightley. This was my third Carey Mulligan movie and so far she's 3/3 for me. Really enjoyed this one.

Friday Night Lights!! Wooooooooo! But this was the best scene. I wanted to hit everything moving after that speech. The passion and emotion shown after he was a mute all movie long. Man I can't lie I was fired up. I shed a tear when Drift King didn't score that touchdown. So many feels.

Finish the quote: "yall wanna win ___  ______  __  ______  __  ____"  FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

"If ya'll wanna win put Boobie in. Come on coach." (Or "let me spin") something like that.

Only remember because it's my favorite line in the movie
