Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I felt the post was sarcastic, but had no idea why. Had to google, all these years and I didn't even know Jar Jar was the center of such controversy hahaha.

Anyone know anything about this Gotham series coming on Fox? From the billboard, it looks like an all-ecompassing Batman origins show. With all the characters that appear to be involved, it seems to be a little overly ambitious. But I might check it out.
The more I see of it the less it looks interesting.

I'm hoping for incredibly strong writing but I won't have my expectations high.

Yeah, man. Once you get past Birth of a Nation, JarJar is the most racist character in the history of cinema.

After all these years, I never even thought of him as being racists...I looked right pass it hahaha.

Also, Birdman looks awesome, but am I the only person tired of Emma Stone? I mean, she's an alright actress with a semi pretty face...but her weight loss has made her head look huge and I just don't understand everyone's fascination with her, she's starting to be like a female Seth Rogan/James Franco...everyone loves them, they are ok actors (Franco not Rogan) but...I just don't like their stupid faces.

They did a pretty good job of opening The Killing back up, considering the last ep of season 3 was supposed to be the final episode of a cancelled series.

Guardians of the Galaxy absolutely lives up to the hype. Unbelievable how insane Marvel is right now. They simply do not miss, outside of what they did to the Mandarin.

I expected a "decent" film, one that could at least match Cap 1, or Thor, nice little origin plot, decent story, little humor, some good action, yeah, **** that. This movie blew them joints right out the water.

Really, really, well done. My theater loved it, my daughter loved it, I loved it, there were long *** lines for my showing, and the one after it, everyone was laughing the whole time, they cheered when it was over, this film is going to do damage in the box office.

And this was supposed to be the "reach" of the Marvel universe. :smh:

Really, really interested where they can go from here.

As for previews, man, Interstellar is going to blow our minds. I can feel it. I'm trying to calm myself, and say that Nolan is due for a letdown, but I can sense it, this is going to Inception, Dark Knight, Memento us all wrapped into one. November gonna be HUGE I think.

Somehow, the Dumb and Dumber sequel looked funny. Can't believe I'm sayin that, but it really did.

Disney owns Marvel right?

Might check out Guardians in theater. Normally don't go anymore but this flick looks good and I haven't seen a bad review yet.

Woodrow Wilson loved Birth of a Nation btw :smh:

Jar Jar Binks, standing in for Senator Amidala, puts forth the motion that gives Palpatine supreme powers. This means that Jar Jar, the most hated character in the Star Wars canon, is indirectly responsible for the fall of the Old Republic and the near-annihilation of the Jedi order. -- IMDb Trivia: Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)

Also would like to point out that I don't think he's the most racist movie character ever and would give that title to almost any early (pre-2000's) Disney movie sidekick character

I feel like I need to see this movie now.
Dope review

Saw Hercules last night.

Thought it started off real cheesy, but overall I enjoyed it. Didn't expect much going in, and I had to see it for The Rock factor.

That Hercules workout is a sum*****. Started doing it this week. Chest was sore for 3 days

Ha, I started it up as well a few weeks ago. I modify it a bit because of the high reps he does, but overall I'm enjoying it and seeing results.

Leg workout is no joke :x .

Seems like, once he realized everyone hated Jarjar for being a terrible character, George came up with a reason for people to more legitimately hate him.

As someone who's been through law school , the new ABC show "How To Get Away with Murder" looks dumb as ****. But I'm not telling anyone not to watch it.

Oh wow I came in to Transcendence thinking it can't be that bad but wow for real they managed to make such an interesting concept INSANELY boring. Accept the first 30 min and then there's still another hr of boring set up.

Kate Mara's character not dying in the end was bull **** though. Team-up with the murderers instead of killing them :smh:

Isn't it from the same creator of grey's anatomy and scandal? That's a good enough reason not to watch it. I'm sure women will love the show though.

Hey when you guys were talking about the Triangle was it the show or movie? :nerd:

Figure I'll watch it now.

The one with Luke Perry in it?

I'm looking now and there's so many damn movies named Triangle.
This one. Came out in '09.
