Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

^^^ Uncle Jun has some of the best lines in the show period. For some reason, I could not stop laughing when he fell in the shower and yelled "sister's **** !" Who says that?

Been really busy the last few months. So I kept hearing how good captain America 2 is... Felt wierd to watch the secon without seeing the first. Threw iit on expecting to just watch in the background and play around on the Internet but it caught my attention. Watched the first half and really enjoyed it. Maybe the effects weren't always up to par but I was more interested in the execution the story anyway. Gonna watch the rest tomorrow. Too tired not because the movie wasn't holding my attention.

I guess I have to watch Thor eventually even though I can't imagine loving it. Never been very interested in that character. But hey marvel is on their ******* grind.

I have not seen both thors, iron man 2 and 3, and the new hulk. Seen everything else from them to my knowledge. I'm not totally sure which studio does what.

Bout to read the last 10 pages or so.

Probably mentioned it before but tinker tailor soldier spy was excellent. If anyone wants to watch a slow cerebral spy movie......do it

You don't need to watch Cap1, you can have IM 2&3 on in the background, and I'd suggest you'd watch both Thors back to back to bang them out. Definitely watch Edward Norton's hulk though, that's flames :pimp:

I can understand not really caring for any of these heroes but Marvel did a good job with them in movie form.

I don't think I was clear actually. I ended up watching cap 1. That what I was describing. Just coudlnt go right to the sequal. And it's better than I thought it would be.

guardians is my favorite marvel flick at the moment. Yes more than the avengers. Spiderman 2 is one of the best also but I'm not sure how it has aged.

I don't think anything will ever be as good as the dark knight but I'm cool with the mostly light hearted comic movies.

We are living in the future fellas

Oh ok. When you said it felt weird to watch the second without watching the first I thought you mean you already saw Cap2 but you were saying it felt weird so you went ahead and watched Cap1. It's clear now.

FXX and FX have been showing mostly Marvel movies all day. Not exactly the same but it's something,

Anyone watch Dear Zachary? jimmy fallon was talking about it and I looked on wiki to read what it's about. Documentary sounds sad as hell.

Just re-watched Kill Bill 1 and 2.

AMAZING!! esp Vol 2.

did not know that these two guys ARE THE SAME PERSON!!!

blew my mind. could never tell cuz Esteban (bottom) accent is so thick that i thought dude was really an old latin dude

movie so good it makes wanna see a prequel. i wanna see ruthless Bills Team was when they went on their assassination trips. i wanna see how ruthless Bill was back in the day.

I wanna see Budd fight like a ninja lol

random but my neighbor's daughter used to be uma's publicist. not sure if she still is. she hasn't been around in a while.

So there was this show Brotherhood on Showtime around 2006, only made it like 3 seasons. I started watching some of it.

This show is like the weakest most bootleg version of The Wire in some ways but set in Rhode Island  It doesn't have multiple perspectives but they jump right in to it with two brothers one who is a politician and one who is trying to become the kingpin after being gone for 7 years. There's a whole lot of weird accents like they're from Boston  but I've only been to RI once so I dunno. Lot of the typical stuff and a few familiar faces but I'm watching simply cuz I never heard of it and it's scratching an itch for now.

Anyone catch that 3 Days to Kill Movie with Kevin Costner? If so, was it basically Kevin's Taken?

No, Amber Heard is his boss.

Worth one watch, just to see Costner back + a little Heard is never a bad thing.

So I watched the first episode of utopia since some of you were talking about it. I was watching and wondering wth was going on. I was trying to figure out what the plot was like it was an episode of the leftovers.

Just came back from Boyhood. Damn good movie, but more importantly, I spent half my time admiring Patricia Arquette's chest wow.

Just watched Rush again for the first time since I saw it in theaters. Just as good if not better the 2nd time around

Recently saw (what I now think are) three pantheon-level flicks in Malick's Tree of Life, PT Anderson's Magnolia, and Orson Welles's Touch of Evil. Liked Touch of Evil more than Citizen Kane. That continuous shot to start it all off...

 Now I'm a bit curious but I don't want another Leftovers on my plate right now.

???
 I don't even wanna know why the first thing he went to was transexual when Patrica Arquette's name was mentioned. Isn't she the mother in that? I aint even know there was a transsexual in Boyhood.
