The last 30 minutes of Gone Girl was some of the funniest I've seen in a drama. Felt good that I wasn't the only one cracking up at the theater.

Being that it released at the same time as Prisoners last year, I really expected another great mystery/trailer.

Unfortunately, once NPH came back in the third act, the rest of the film became painfully predicatable.

Oh well.

But on a side note, Ben Affleck looks ready to be Batman. No matter how much flannel they draped him in, didn't hide the fact he was getting yoked. I believe in Batfleck.

Just watched Little Miss Sunshine on TV. It holds up well IMO. A perfectly acted love letter to dysfunctional families. Great movie. Allen Arkin is awesome and probably Steve Carrell's best acting performance to date (yes, I realize that Foxcatcher is on its way).
