Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Just writing for now. Mostly fiction and sports. I started off screenwriting but moved away from it, just not as enjoyable. Eventually, I'd like to make my own film. Grab a camera, do something low budget and see what kind of art I could create.
My BFF is an actor.

JRS and LD, you two better take me with you.

Leo dressed like an ape, 3 barely clothed tramps around anyways. ****

My man, if ever there will be a time for an NT movie thread summit, it will be when JRS sells a script and is rolling with Leo. We'll get the super stretch Escalade or Hummer for that night.

Mr. O better resurface again or he's going to miss out.

The Miz's role on the Marine 7 doesn't qualify him as an actor...

Hot tub in the back :pimp:

Wait, someone else on here knows The Miz? He shared an apartment in Santa Monica with a couple of my buddies. Dude is a tool, IMO. But if you're friends with him, cool.

Really? That's pretty funny. MeanGene is in love the the Miz wrestling wise so it's like an inside joke with those losers in that thread.

Funny. yeah, I knew him when he was still trying to be the Miz. I remember distinctly when he showed up to a party in Brentwood wearing a giant belt buckle that said "Ohio." For sure thought he was the baddest dude there. (He wasn't).

Whiplash finally came to a theater around my way, so I went with my girlfriend on Friday night.

Great movie. Idk that I like it as much as a lot of the reviews I was seeing, but it was definitely a great film. I liked the camera work and the acting was really good. Whomever it was that said it was Full Metal Jacket at music school was right.

Trying to con her into going to see Birdman, Interstellar, Nightcrawler and Foxcatcher over the next two weeks or so. Which, other than Foxcatcher and Nightcrawler, shouldn't be too hard to do.

you are overthinking it. it has an average score of 7.5. Hardly amazing.

I think that if a score is 7 or over it gets a "fresh rating" so 90% of the people who saw it think it's a 7 or better.
No I'm not over thinking it  90% isn't indicative of how good the movie is. That's all I'm saying.

Miss me with this fresh rating and an average score of a 7. I didn't research the rating process online or anything. I flipped through my on demand and saw that Source Code had a 92% RT rating. It just simply caught me off guard. Even if I went with what you just said 90% of the ppl that watched it thinking it's a 7 or better would still be a reach.
Oh damn... Leo starting to look like fat Val Kilmer... :x :smh:

He goin' stay away for a minute & come back looking like Renee Zellweger... :x

1000
Leo already got you fooled.

He's clearly doing a biopic about the rise and fall of Val Kilmer's career. I expect a classic :smokin

I love him in Dog Day Afternoon. Particularly the way he mocked the cops outside of the bank. And then you had that twist with his lover  Pacino's great.
