Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I thought they didn't delve into that aspect of the story deep enough in the last movie. I guess they were saving it for the next X flick.

My girl just got into Walking Dead. |I :\ :smh: I hate this zombie fascination everyone's all into right now. Like, HATE it. :x It's so STUPID, but... whatevs.

Why do you hate it?

Before TWD comic I wasn't in to that zombie stuff either. Specifically the movies. Just seems like crap, slop made to mindlessly appeal to the masses. Feel similar about vampires minus a few exceptions. That stuff like that becomes a huge fad can be overbearing.

I always felt that about slow zombies. Like, come on, what's so bad? Juke them ************* and they can't do nothin. Didn't pay them no mind.

Then I seen sprinter zombies, and more recently in World War Z, sprinter zombies that straight up stealth/slide/tackle your ***, and I was done. Won't see me in the zombie apocalypse, I'm out first thing. Eat a bullet, swallow a knife, whatever, I don't get down with sprinter/sliding/tackle zombies, **** that.

Slow, dumb, lazy, dead folk, yeah, I'll hang out for that and whack a mole them sons'a *******, it would be fun for a while at least. Besides, somebody gotta look after Maggie and that sassy little army girl. :pimp:

saw the equalizer..WOOO! enjoyed , simply put. way better than i thought. interstellar was crazy. i fell asleep during 2/8ths of the flick. woke up half way through. i could piece it together. honestly gave me chills and feels.:smh:

Saw John Wick in theaters for the second time last night.

I've concluded Keanu Reeves is a great actor in moments set up to be incredibly emotional. For example, when he's reading the note. However his normal demeanor as an actor is literally stripped away from anything resembling emotion. Strange.

The club scene was one of the most spectacular sequences of any movie I've seen. Crazy, but yeah. The score was TERRIFIC and contrasted the violence in mood and nailed the music spikes according to what was happening on screen. It was haunting and chilling and some of the most uniquely filmed scenes -- and movies, for that matter -- that I can think of.

Script had its flaws for sure, but for some reason I felt like it was done with a purpose at times for the characters.

Keanu is the homie but, dude can only play that one role.

I'm about to watch John Wick though, tired of hearing how dope it is and continuing to pass on it.

Does Gyllenhaal get nominations for Nightcrawler?

I feel like, if he was a new actor who showed up ~2010, and had this run...he could get the push.

ONeg's man is clapping his special way at the 10.12 mark...

>D  Been meaning to read 'My Song' for the longest. :smokin

That actually sums him up perfectly.

Even if some of the story was shaky, every part of the movie felt right.
I loved the world they built. The coins, the hotel, the HBO reunion.

So Mark Boal, who wrote Zero Dark Thirty (I met him, super nice guy, very smart) is now rewriting the Uncharted movie. They offered the lead role to Chris Pratt, as many fans wanted, but he declined.

Sources say with GOTG and Jurassic Park, he can't take on a 3rd franchise.

So who leads this film...it's been a cluster F for the longest to get off the ground, roles have been offered to Mark Wahlberg, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Chris Pratt, everyone backed out or said no.

Winter Bone

Any of you seen it? Have strong opinions one way or the other? Would recommend? Would not recommend?

Huge JLaw fan, but not a fan of watching something JUST because someone's in it.

Already explained.

Because it's stupid.

Especially when people try to reason that it would be soooooo awesome if there really was some sort of zombie happening.

No, no it wouldn't be awesome, and I wish everyone would collectively get a grip so Zombieland and World War Z and Walking Dead and Warm Bodies and Shaun on the Living Dead and blah, blah, blah can GO AWAY.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it stupid, but I truly don't understand the fascination with zombies.

ive probably missed out on some quality tv/movies just due to the fact that i have 0 interest in anything zombie related

She's great in it, but movie is slow and depressing as hell. Watched it once, doubt I'll ever go back to it.

Shawn of the dead is amazing. The walking dead is terrible. Couldn't get passed half the second season. Just lost interest. I'm sure I'd like the comics better.
